Free Stamp Set - Paper Pumpkin Birthday

Paper pumpkin february 2019 trio www.stampingwithdi.com

I sat down and whipped up February's Paper Pumpkin cards and I made them even more simpler than the original design, sometimes less is more and these beautiful photos I just could not cover them up. Of course after I took the pics and uploaded them I realized I forgot to add the bling...so I will do that before I mail them out. I have two kits so I need to make up the other kit too, these cards are perfect to send out when you live in AZ!! I might even frame a couple.

2019 Paper Pumpkin Calendar

Paper Pumpkin December 2018 www.stampingwithdi.com

I got my December Paper Pumpkin yesterday and I was not a big fan of what it was intended for. Hey I will admit it, I don't always like the monthly kits, but you can always do your own thing with them and make them yours.  That is what is fun, there are no mistakes in stamping, only design changes.

So this is what I did with mine.  I had a picture frame from IKEA and these rings in my studio (it's amazing what I find stashed here and there) and I just made it a flip calendar. I used the little wood grain look chipboard piece that came with it so that it keeps the months from going into the hole of the frame. These originally had some plastic in them but I chucked those long ago.

Here you can see that little chipboard piece better.  Now keep in mind it is an 18 month calendar, so I did need to use my calendar on my phone to get my months in the right order.  I just used the beautiful ribbon that came with the kit and tied it on the bottom of the frame. I wanted to add more ribbon to the rings, but that would make them not work well to flip the calendar each month...so less is more right?

What do you think?  Don't miss out on January's kit. Who knows what it will be, but I think it has something to do with Kangaroos and Sloths..maybe even a Lizard....hmmmm.....

Can you believe that it is the last weekend before Christmas? Yikes! I hope you have all your shopping done.  I sure don't want to be out shopping this weekend.  I got cards to make...yep looks like I am sending New Years cards this year.  It's like the cobbler's kids had no shoes right? I should have been doing my Christmas cards each month when you were getting the Christmas card class in the mail...then I would have them in the mail already. Next year right?
