As I was casually eating my morning cereal…what you don't eat your cereal with a fork? What if it is mixed with lots of gooey marshmallows? Ok as I was eating a rice krispie square…with a fork to keep my hands from getting all buttery and gooey. I looked out the kitchen window and was like what the heck is that thing?
Of course the danged camera wanted to focus on the trees…not matter what I did I could not get it to focus on the bird. I am a stamper not a photographer.
Then he jumped on the fence so I could see him better, but still blurry.
Oh enjoy this picture of my trees bark…%$!&!!!!
Ok still blurry but better, look at his big feet…ouch!
Then he flew over and sat on the roof of the chuck run.
I was afraid to get too close and scare him so I tried to take a picture scooching down…again freaking trees! Where is my yard man?
So hopefully you can see him good enough.
Cause as I got closer.
He flew away….grrr…..but super cool anyway. I'm gonna call him hawkeye…cause look how he is looking at me…yikes!
Dear Santa, I need a better camera, or lessons.
Now to head to google to see what kinda bird…I wanna say chicken hawk.

Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
I am thinking it is a red-tailed hawk. It looks similar to the one I videoed eating a dove in my backyard a year or so ago. Beautiful birds. Hugs!
Hi Shannon, I think you are absolutely right. Last week I took a pic of a huge bird flying, and I think this is the same one. Hope you are well. Hugs, Di
So enjoying your photos from the yard.
Thanks for sharing.
I get excited because we have deer that travel behind our fence in the backyard.
he is after one of your chickens. Hope you have a top on your chicken running yard. The hawk will sure get one of them. I would have run him off real quick.
Hi Karen,
Oh my husband would love to have deer running around in the backyard. It is fun to look out and see the fun critters. Hugs, Di
Hi Cathy,
Yes, that is why Jeff always calls them chicken hawk…our run is fully enclosed so he was just looking. He didnt stay long when he caught me trying to get his picture…he must be camera shy. Hugs, Di
