Sit a Spell

Elm trees www.stampingwithdi.com

Jeff had these huge elm treees in pots and then when he moved them between our house and Eric's little house he wanted them out of the pots, so he built these planter dealiebobs around them, so this weekend he added the rest of the up and down boards, and then he like stains them with this concoction he makes up so it ages the wood. Cool eh?

New kitchen table www.stampingwithdi.com

He finished the new kitchen table, love it! We just painted our original chairs to match. Jeff is not a fan of them, he wants a cushion, I shopped in my house, that is all the shopping I do since March...ha! and found a couple throw pillows I had on our bed one time and they work for now...I took them away for the pic. I shabby'd it all up a bit...I even painted the lazy susan. A little bit of paint does wonders eh?

Table top www.stampingwithdi.com

Here is the top of the table so you can see how cool it is. He framed the alder wood with walnut wood and then stained it and polyurethaned it.  We had a round table there before. This feels so much bigger although Jeff says it is the same width.

Now he can just relax and take it easy...ha! Easier said then done eh?

Aug - Dec 2020 Mini Catalog DSP Share - Pre-order Yours Today!

Aug - Dec Holiday catalog DSP Share with Diana Gibbs www.stampingwithdi.com

Hard to believe it is time for the Aug - Dec 2020 Mini Catalog, but yes it will start in August, and it is amazing.

I will be offering a Designer Series Paper Share and here is how you can get yours.

Here are the details:

6x6 Aug - Dec 2020 Mini Catalog DSP Share

There are 12 packages of DSP including 4 packages of Specialty DSP (that include beautiful foil accents) and if you were to order them all it would cost you around $180.00

What I am going to do is order all of them and then cut them to 6"x6" squares (some packages come that way already), and then you will get a square of each design of each pack. The squares each person gets will not be identical because of the way the patterns are printed on the DSP, and you will have to decide which side of the DSP you want to use*. This is a great way to see all of the new and returning DSP without breaking the bank. I love doing this, cause we both get to see what ones we love the best!

Each DSP Share will have 90 squares that include:
~Heartwarming Hugs DSP
~Poinsettia Place DSP
~Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP - returning fave!
~Trimming the Town DSP
~Wonder of the Season Specialty DSP
~'Tis the Season DSP
~Toile Tidings DSP - returning fave!
~Snowflake Splendor DSP
~Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP - returning fave!
~Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP
~Magic in This Night DSP
~Plaid Tidings DSP

The cost for the Designer Series Paper Share will be:
1 set - $37.00 includes priority mailing with tracking.
2 sets - (*then you have both sides to play with) - $65.00 includes priority mailing with tracking.

The turn around for the packages will probably be 3 weeks as shipping and mailing is slower. I need to get them all ordered, cut, packaged and off to the PO. I will let you know if there are any backorder issues.

RSVP for the share is due by July 29 when I will send you the paypal invoice and the money is due
by August 1.

I can only ship within the US, thanks for understanding.

If you are interested in ordering or have any questions, please email me at digibbs@stampingwithdi.com and I will get you on the list.

If you don't hear back from me in a day, please email me again as sometimes the emails get hung up in outerspace somewhere.

Have an awesome week.

Two Toads are Better Than One

Question Avatar www.stampingwithdi.com

What the what?

So the other night Jeff was bored, he has finished all his projects...he just finished the new kitchen table. We also painted the existing 24 year old chairs to match the base.  He is not a fan of them, but they look cute and much better. I need to find some cushions to tie on...maybe then he will like them better. They need to sit a few days before I can shabby them, then I will post a pic.

So he was walking around the backyard in the dark with the flashlight...that scares me cause I am allergic to scorpions...he is Hercules!  So he comes in and says "there is a toad in the bird water bowl", and I was like "what?"

One Toad www.stampingwithdi.com

So what did I do? Well I got my camera of course.  Look at him sitting in there. I have this bowl out there for the birds, prairie dogs and what have you to drink from during the day. Little did we know it was a pool for a toad at night.

Face slap www.stampingwithdi.com

So last night I said "oh I wonder if the toad is back?" So I got the flashlight and went out and looked, and laughed so hard...I had to go get Jeff and my camera of course.

Two Toads www.stampingwithdi.com

Someone told a friend. Now if there are three in there tonight, we're gonna need a bigger boat bowl.

Laugh avatar www.stampingwithdi.com

They were both totally under the water, that freaked me out and I quickly got back in the house, plus I got a bit closer than last night and was standing in the grass. Just asking for trouble, like what if the third one was running hopping late and behind me.

Added since original post: so last night I watched from the kitchen window hoping to catch the toads getting in the bowl...I turned to chat with Jeff a minute and I turned back and they were in there I could see them flapping around....daggnabbit......so then I turned on the porch light to look out  better cause it was getting dark and one was on the rocks by the porch - all like bow legged and his head cocked like he was watching me...Jeff said probably cause the light was on and it attracts the bugs...and I thought boy he was quick I barely turned on the light...so I go out with the flashlight to look in the bowl...with one eye on the one on the rocks incase he got any jumping on my face kinda ideas....and there were 2 in the bowl...so there was 3. So am I a pysic physic future teller person? What ever should I wish for tomorrow? Not 4 toads certainly. Hugs!
