Jeff was checking out the old blog the other day, he does not read it everyday like he used to cause they have done stuff to the computers at his work so he can't access certain things…but he was on the computer at home. He always watches my videos and gives me his opinion. He said I need to get back to just chatting it up about everyday stuff like I used to. I said well people stop following when I post too much and that might happen again. But he said be myself…so here I am. I guess I need to post more of the everyday this n' that like my header says eh?
I will, I am going to go back to blogging for me…well and you faithful reader too. But initially it was almost like a diary to look back on things. If I lose some of you I do apologize. Yes, I'm still Canadian and all that SORRY stuff….ha! My Granny kept a diary and I think my sister Jacqui has them. She would write what she did each day and she had different color pens for certain things. I remember when she would come to visit she would have me write it for her sometimes so she had my writing. She hated her writing, she called it chicken scratch, I loved it and still do, and get a heart ache when I pull out a recipe in her hand writing, but I understand it now, I don't like my writing either…and don't get me started on my wrinkly old hands and crooked fingers…another thing Granny hated and I loved on her…but on me…not so much. Today marks the 7th year of her passing. I miss her and Poppa everyday of my life, and will till I see them again.
So here I am honest today…trying yet another thing to get rid of my under eye bags. I think I need to start wearing foundation and hide it. I have been lucky and have never been a big makeup wearer, eyeliner and mascara and once in a while eye shadow, but that might need to change…not like that secretary on Drew Carey's show, still subtle and looking au naturale'! Speaking of au naturale' I am not going to color my hair anymore…let's see how that goes, the last few years I have been adding blonde so the gray was not so noticeable coming in…so if you see me and notice a big dark/gray (cause that is what it is like underneath), just smile and nod…wink if you want…I'll know what you are thinking.
Oh and I was trying to play air guitar with my leg…but I could not hold the phone with my mouth and did not want to break a tooth or eek! a hip to go along with my saggy old skin…so it's just some weird pose. But look at my fun leggings!!! I ain't even a hunter!!! Ha!
Soooo….faithful reader what do you want to see more…or less of?

Share your love of stamping and share yourself. Love to see you as you are. You're a fun, sweet lady.
I totally agree with Jeff! I love it when you're YOU!
Hi Doris, Thanks so much that means the world to me. I want to keep doing videos and not just on Tuesday. Thanks for reading. Big hugs, Di
Hi Christine, I am so glad you are along for the ride. Let's roll the window down, let our hair blow all over and have fun. Big hugs, Di
Hi Lisa, I am so glad you said that, cause I truly just need to be me, and not try to be anyone else. Thanks for being a faithful reader. Big hugs, Di
Hi Sue, Thanks so much, you are so sweet to say that. Eye bags and all eh? I am hoping to share all sorts of fun stuff this year. Big hugs, Di
Hi Kathy, Thanks so much for saying that. I did lose a few subscribers, but that is to be expected eh? Hopefully they will be back again sometime…but YOU are here, so all is good. Big hugs, Di
I loved it when you used to chat with us every day or so! Miss hearing about your "girls" (the chickens) and whatever else you've got going on in your life! Welcome back!
Hi Sam!!!!!!!!!!! I love getting to see you and hugging yer neck at events! We still have the girls…or chucks as we call them…chickens and ducks….we are down to 2 chickens and still the 3 ducks…and of course Toby. We are not getting anymore critters so hoping these girls and guy stick around a bit longer. I hope to see you in New Orleans!!! Big hugs, Di
I love your "reals" blogs!! Feels like I'm with you in the flesh!! luv you…MaMa xoxo
Hey MAMMa! I can't wait till I get to hug yer neck for real. We need to plan our 4-some dinner date! Love you, Di
So glad to read that you've decided to be your awesome self on your blog. Did you know that I became one of your most faithful readers before I ever bought any Stampin'Up products? You drew me in with the stories you told about your chickens. I made sure to check your egg counter each time I read your blog!
You've reminded me of Daniel Pink's 2006 book A Whole New Mind. He explains that there is such an excess of information out there that what people crave is meaning–stories! You have a gift for teaching us through your stories. People who forget that what we offer is context and stories should remember that these are the value we add over big box craft stores who just want you to buy more and more and more stuff.
Hi Connie, you always say the right thing, and like when you send me a card with a sweet note, you always make me feel good. Love ya, Di
Enjoy your stories – our kids have chickens, I am Canadian 🇨🇦 too and I just let my hair grow out this past year. A scary process when you don’t know the result! But it all turned out ok and it’s so much easier to style without worrying about roots 🙂
Blog what makes you happy and the rest will fall into place. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to hear your going back to being yourself and telling us all about your chickens…I enjoyed hearing about your son's home as you were building it…
I enjoy all your sharing of family and stamping with us…keep up the great work
You go girl!! Anything you want is fine with me…..
Hi Ginny, we are not getting any more critters once these all pass on. I am surprised that some are still alive as long as they are. We don't get many eggs anymore…we buy eggs at the store…and chicken feed…ha! How nuts are we? Did you change your shampoo while you were doing your growing out? Big hugs, Di
Hi Jan, can you believe it will be three years since we did Eric's house? Time flies. We updated our kitchen this year and I can't remember if I blogged that or not? Have a great weekend. Big hugs, Di
Hi Tammy, Yeah!!! Thanks honey bunny! Hugs, Di
I really missed all of your stories. It was like sitting down with an old friend over a cup of coffee and catching up on life. Welcome back, Diana! Just be you!
Hi Barbara, I am so glad you said that. Right now I am eating a sleeve of ritz crackers with my cold coffee…ha! How about you? Big hugs, Di
Just be YOU, that's what got you the following you have. Do your thing, your way. Welcome back, ya crazy chick! oops I mean Chic! Ha!
Love your post!
Just keep writing what you want! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it this morning!
Also, if you’re interested Di, my daughter sells Arbonne. I have started using their products and see a noticeable difference in my skin, as well as their nutrition line. You would love their under eye gel eye masks.
I look forward to learning a lot following your training. Thank you!
Hey Rhonda!!! I know right back to being me…ha! Love ya, Di
Hi Debbie, I totally am, have gone back to keeping a note pad with scribbles when ideas come to my head…since my memory sucks. I swear I need a waterproof notepad as some of my best ideas come in the shower, probably as the water is beating on my brain and waking it up. Big hugs, Di
