Birds of a Feather Meets Mercury Glass

Class in the Mail Kit· Class Projects

Birds of a Feather Mercury Glass Acetate www.stampingwithdi.com

I love the little Birds of a Feather stamp set, and don't get me started on the beautiful Mercury Glass Acetate…or that amazing Ruched Ribbon…I mean who does not want to wrap a present with that ribbon?

To earn free stamps click on the pictures below to order:

Did you know that the Acetate has a thin plastic film on one side to protect it while you cut it and design, then you simply peel it off before assembling your card. The easiest way is to feel both sides of the acetate. One side is a little rough…that is not the side you peel. Then take a piece of scotch tape and stick it on one corner of the smoother side and lift, the thin plastic film will come up with the scotch tape and then you are ready to use your piece. I personally glue down the rough side.

For the card above I put the glue to hold the acetate underneath the layered bird piece, that way the adhesive is hidden.

Look how adorable these Mini Curvy Keepsakes Boxes are using the Mercury Glass Acetate, it also uses the stamp set Tiny Keepsakes that comes in a bundle.

This was one of the table goodies at my Fall Social, it holds a Lindt Truffle, and I picked the blue wrapped one so I stamped the greeting in Blueberry Bushel, if you used a red wrapped one I would stamp in Real Red. These are so stinking cute!  I have one of my Pop-Up Class Series in November where you get this bundle. If you live locally, let me know if you want to attend.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
