So sometimes I just want to take a class…where I do not have to cut paper for days. So when I saw that Tricia Samsal from Vintage Bliss had posted this darling House of Wax house I knew I had to make one…it just lucked out that I got my new Halloween gnomes in from Lola's Gnomes the day before. They look adorable together….I need to buy some of those black plastic spiders. Wouldn't they look cool climbing on the house?
We put this private class together at the last minute (and the only weekend that worked for Tricia and I was this one) so it was just Mandy and I taking the class. Tricia is so super sweet and uber talented. We all had a blast. It has been too long since I hung out with Mandy, and we laughed so much!
Here is Mandy and I and our finished houses. We put some led lights inside to light them up. I want to find a flickering led candle to stick in mine…with a timer preferably so I don't have to take the lid off all the time.
Let's look at my house up close and personal shall we?
Tricia brought old sheet music and other cute papers to cover the house and then I grabbed some of the new Monster Bash DSP and some retired Halloween DSP to decorate my house. I loved that we learned how to melt bees wax on the house. Look at the fun drips.
Aren't the little faces peeping out so cute? That one looks like ET, maybe he came to the house to use the phone to call home?
Here is the roof, this fun netting stuff, and then I grabbed an old bat punch, a circle punch and some wire and we added these to the chimney!
I loved this moon that Tricia had and the cats that you can't see in this pic…I added old Stampin' Up! DSP that I could just not get rid of, can you see the wood plank floor and orange striped wall paper in the back? Ha!
This was a fun picture, I peeked in the window to take it. I hung up pictures inside…the furniture arrives next week….ha!
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing my pics as much as I did taking the class. We had a blast and I had fun going around the studio figuring out what else we could add to the house…ha!
Hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Happy September 1, and thanks for stopping in.
So good to see you two together – Hi Mandy! – the houses are awesome – sorry I didn't answer your post re halloween decorating…I'm guessing it was about this…mouth still very sore and I'm sleeping a lot…next time – please!! xoxox
Hey MAMMa, it was so fun hanging out with Mandy, it has been so long, she has not changed a bit, and we laughed so much. Yes this is what I was talking about in my message to you. I figured you were still not feeling better, get better soon. Call the dentist. Love you!!!
This is so awesome and has so much character! Looks like you had fun!!
