I wanted to thank everyone for buying some of my retired stamps and accessories. Some get mailed out each day. The rest of the boxes come from my ebay lady on Sunday so I will be listing more…not sure I can do it all at once as I need it to sit out so I can find the set when you want it…so we will see.
We also are starting an update to our kitchen, we have been here almost 22 years and well let me tell ya we have not updated much. A new floor here and there and some paint.
Today they delivered the new appliances…Home Depot had no interest for 12 months so we jumped on that deal. Don't look too close, we lost a bunch of trim off the counter to make stuff fit. We decided on GE Adora and they are in Slate. We had some sweet friends recommend these and so far so good…ok well the dishwasher does not work but they are bringing out a new one.
Here are the old ones…I put this picture second cause my blog feeder usually puts the first picture I post on there and I wanted to see the pretty new stuff.
Here is the dilemma, the wall to the left of the fridge has always been too wide so we had to pull the fridge out from the wall in order to open the door. Well the new fridge is even worse, it is sticking out 10 inches from the back wall…that is a lot. So we need to take 10 inches or more from that wall.
So initially I wanted to paint the cabinets white and put a new granite counter, backsplash and new sink. But now with the new appliances I am not all that much hating the oak cabinets…don't get me started on the tile counter though….hate it! So do you have an opinion? What do you think? And hey do you do wall cutting back and drywall? Ha!

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
We remodeled our kitchen after 17 years of builder grade everything. I also got new stainless steel GE appliances, and I did get white cabinets. I love them so much! Friends said they would be harder to keep clean because they are white, but I find they are easier to keep clean because you can actually see when they are dirty. I think with new counters and backsplash, you may be happy with the oak cabinets. Good luck with your remodel!
Hi Jessica, I think we are gonna stick with the oak cabinets, as I do think since we are out in the dusty desert if I went white I think I would regret it with the dust. I do think though I will have the cabinet people make the cabinet doors soft close and change out the hardware and add hardware to the drawers and I think even that will be good. Now to pick the counter and back splash, I am really thinking white subway tile!!!!!!! Hugs, Di
