It’s Not “Tuf”ted

Tutorials/Tips

30 Jun

Animal outing rhino www.stampingwithdi.com

I just could not resist sharing this card.  This is actually one of the cards from my Class in the Mail for Animal Outing that was for June. I usually do not share the cards from the class, as people pay for the class or also people earn the PDF as well, but I just had to share it to give you an idea of the cards from class, and it is just too darned cute!

I did a video below to show you how I did it. And the trick is using the matching DSP!!

By gluing the DSP onto Whisper White regular cardstock first, it makes it a bit sturdier after you framelit it out to withstand any touching that might happen when people see the card and because it is popped up with dimensionals.

To earn free stamps click on the pictures below to order:

Card stock:

~Smoky Slate CS – 5 1/2” x 8 ½” folded in half

~Basic Black CS – 3 ½” x 4 ¾”

~So Saffron – 3 3/8” x 4 5/8”

~Whisper White Thick CS – 3” x 3” for square framelit

~Whisper White Thick CS – 2” x 3” for punch

~Whisper White CS – 1 ¾” x 3” for branch and frog DSP

~Whisper White CS – 3” x 3 ½” for rhino DSP

~Cut out rhino and frog and branch images from DSP and adhere to WW CS. Framelit out and set aside.

~Use Tufted TIEF on the So Saffron CS. Adhere to Basic Black CS.

~Stamp greeting with Basic Gray on the Everyday Label punch and adhere behind the Stitched Shaped Square.

~Assemble card as shown using Dimensionals.

So I think I am going to stop my physical therapy and just do my exercises at home. Both times they have massaged and rubbed my arm so hard it is so sore and bruised.  I don't need that, it hurts worse than my ailment.  I swear they broke a blood vessel in there. Plus it is 50 bucks every time I go. I can spend that on much funner things when I got my own stuff to use at home now.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
