April 2018

It Was a Great Day!!!

Well every day is great spent with my hubby but yesterday started out as a scary day, that I knew was bothering both of us but not till it was over did I realize how much as the tears wanted to flow (and I held them back) and the nausea too (held that back too.)

We got to the Banner Baywood Heart Hospital for our 1:00pm check in.

Jeff cardioversion prep

Jeff got all undressed and gowned up and they hooked him up to the heart monitor, oxygen, blood pressure, all that stuff. So when he has had his last three EKG we don't hear them the doc just looks at the print out, but this time we could actually hear the heart and I was like that sounds good to me.

Jeff heart rate

I watched the little green lines. I am not a doctor and have never played one on TV but the lines looked good too...I had no idea what the other two were. Were they trying to match the little green lines? Were the green lines the right heart rate? So then the nurse comes in and says "what are you here for?" and Jeff says "to shock my heart" and she said "well not today cause you are in sinus rhythm" and we both looked at each other and I swear I heard like those angel trumpet things that means it's a miracle. So I don't know but all I have been saying in my head was "please God let the medicine work, he is ok" over and over and over...and over.  So now I was saying "Thank you God" over and over...and over. Still saying it.

So then she called the doctor to let him know and then we waited...and waited...and waited, cause basically we had messed up the whole day's schedule I bet. I mean this was probably like 1:30 or so and we were done. So then we played Word back and forth on our phones, I facebooked to let everyone know he was good, he texted his buddy from work to say he would be in the next day, we called Mum Gibbs...and then the doctor came in and I think he was as happy as we were.  So Jeff will continue taking the meds he has been taking and we see the doc in 6 weeks, he mentioned having Jeff wear a monitor later, and I am thinking they may take Jeff off the blood thinners eventually (we hope so) not sure about the other two.

So then we waited some more while they got RX stuff done and then Jeff was deciding where we were going to eat cause he was starving.  It was probably 3:30 or so before we got out of there and he wanted Outback Steakhouse.

Jeff outback looking good babe!

I told him let me get a picture to show everyone how great you look.  So all in all, a great day, oh a great day. It was nice getting home shortly after Eric got home from work, we have not told Eric exactly what was going on just that Dad had a doc appointment and we did not know when we would be home, so we had in place for someone to come and keep an eye on Eric, but was so awesome when I could let them know, we were good.

So now we can get back to normal....pretty much. He is all back to work, now I can really focus on my Stampin' Up! business, and fun stuff. The end of the catalog is near and so much to do, my studio looks like a tornado came through. Oh I need to holler at Barb, I can do the monthly blog hop with my team now....yay!!!!!!!!!  So two things, you would have gotten an email from me if you need to pre-order a catalog and also I have stamp club starting in May. If you did not get those emails, let me know right away!!! I will be getting the catalogs ordered the 28th!

I want to stop and thank all of you that have sent prayers and love and messages, we love you from the bottom of our hearts. God is good!  I wish I could thank everyone individual but I am afraid I would miss a comment and hurt someones feelings. So seriously thank YOU!!!

Ever Works for Me!

I am popping in quick to show you a neat picture...ok not neat, but one that has me excited. I know...omg Di is showing her face...she should have put a warning!!!

Before and after eye bags

For years and years...and years I used Oil of Olay every day and no foundation, but I did use eyeliner and mascara. I have never been much of a makeup girl cause I want the natural look and just like my hair I want to wash and go...but once I turned 50 (3 years ago) the Oil of Olay did not seem to cut it anymore and I have been getting bags under my eyes, wrinkles and age spots...good grief.

So a few of my friends told me to try Ever Skin products and I thought what the heck I will sign up and save myself some money and see how it goes, and I love it, I could see a difference in just a few days. I still have a ways to go, but I love that my skin is healthier and it is not that hard to do.

Too funny, the mascara is the big wow, it makes my lashes so long and it lasts all day. I have even been using eye shadow and blush and it just looks healthy not like I will be standing on the street corner. I know that is bad but you know what I mean right?

You can see in the pics above I showed the lashes with the mascara on the 21st, I should have taken one with no mascara. But anyway you can see the difference in the bags a few days later.  So that has me excited. I can't tell you how many times I went into Ulta and each time they sold me something different and nothing worked. I have a drawer of junk.

So if you have any questions just holler. I have an online store here.  Definitely check out the Mascara, (I love it works without all the fibers that make a mess) and the Revive and the Sublime, I also love the Hydralift and the Rebalance. I love the subscription part so stuff ships automatically, it saves you money and you can earn free shipping no more running out of stuff. Oh and Ulta...I only shop there for nail polish now...ha!

Oh and this is totally a side gig, if anyone wants to place an order and try it out, I totally appreciate it. But Stampin' Up! is still my baby and my full time business...although it has taken a bit of a backseat while we figure Jeff 's health out (he goes for his cardioversion tomorrow - I have been praying that we get there and they say, it's all back to normal, just go home)  I will be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for years and years from now. Heck I am going on 19 years, can you believe that? Time sure flies when you are having fun.

So I will sign off for now, gotta go pack a bag in case they admit Jeff to the hospital (I told him if we take it we won't need it). I just wanted to come in and let you know what was up if you had seen my posts on FaceBook. Thanks to all the many comments and prayers. We love you all.

March Card Gut Challenge Cards

March Card Gut Challenge Diana Gibbs

I forgot to post the card gut challenge cards for March.

Every month (unless something happens I have no control over) I do a virtual meeting in our private FaceBook group (no matter where you live we can all take part in it) and I start it out with a FaceBook live where I do a make n take, then we continue on chatting for a couple hours.

The team can request a Card Gut packet if they want, and then they upload their card in our group. I love seeing what they do with the supplies. Card guts are the supplies needed to make a card, cardstock, DSP, ribbon, etc. Nothing stamped of course. They can alter, add, subtract from the items I send them.

The above cards is what I did with my supplies in March, I don't think I showed it before.

Here are the fun cards the girls did.

Did I Jinx It?

So on April 11 I posted this pic on FaceBook...

...I asked if this made me old or organized? It just holds two vitamins and a gerd pill, but beats opening up bottles every day. Plus when we went to Vegas it was easier to just take this.

Well the next day Jeff got sick and had to go to the doc, by Sunday he had a fever of 102 and aches, pains and chills and off we went to urgent care.

That started a whole a-fib heart problems stuff going on, that we had no idea anything was wrong with his heart, or how long this may have been going on. Is it true we are born with only so many heart beats in our heart, how many days did we lose? Am I just a worry wart?

So today he saw the cardiologist again and his heart is still not right. So they have increased some meds, and added more. Now he has this...

Jeff he went from taking no pills (except the one he had a reaction to) before that to needing this. So glad many of you commented on my FaceBook pic or I would not have known they have am and pm ones.

So next week they have scheduled Jeff for a cardioversion and this scares the crap out of me.  I am sure it is scaring him too, but he is a tough and macho man (I mean we tease cause it was in the newspaper that his fave band in school was The Village People), he is just excited he can go back to work. He wanted to go in on Saturday and I told him he should probably take these new pills they added for a couple days to see how he feels.

So my sweet readers, if anyone has had one of these please let me know. I mean I can not even imagine a machine shocking my husband at all. I think I need to stop watching Greys Anatomy.

So Much Love...

...we can feel it.

2018 2019 catalog

I wanted to pop in and let you know what we know so far about Jeff.

We went to the cardiologist yesterday and they did another EKG. His heart is still not beating right and the doctor gave him two options, be admitted to the hospital and get put on IV meds to get his heart rate back to normal, or try taking some meds, and go back Friday am and if it is not better then they will definitely admit him. So this is scaring both of us, I mean you go in for one thing and come out with something worse.

We have been blessed with so many messages and prayers that perhaps Jeff getting a reaction to his antibotic was a Godsend that sent us to the doc to find out about his heart, but still we have many many many more years together and I want that to be true.  I can not lose him, I would never survive that, and we always tease each other (I know death is not to be teased but we still say it) I have to go first that is the way it has to we must get this figured out.

We did find out that his Dad, Grandpa and his Aunt have this and we did not know this and did not know to tell the Doc so we will on Friday. So today he had more blood work done, and he says that he actually feels better than he has in a while and I hope that is the meds. Even though he never knew he was not feeling well other than his ear infection and the drug reaction.  We don't know how long this has been going on.

I can't thank you all enough and my sweet friends that have had this happen in their lives with their excellent advice and my amazing friend Doc Sharon, who helped a lot and made me laugh. To adorable Chef Lisa who brought over supper - oh our taste buds were remembering the Daily Bread Bistro days, I love you all.

So I will post more when I do know more. Thanks for letting me use my blog as a place to not really vent, but share.

We were laughing a bit in the blood place as they have automated it, no more handing in your paperwork at the desk you have to check in on a touch screen tablet and really the older generation (yes us...cause this was new to us to do) had issues as we were instructed by a snooty lady to sign in when we attempted to go past her to hand our paperwork in at the desk.  You had the ones that could not figure it out, the ones that would use their finger instead of the stylus, the younger ones that used the stylus from the get go and the ones that held the stylus but used their finger...oh people watching is fun eh?

So I must do a bit of business just in case Jeff ends up being in the hospital and off work for a while, I need to keep up with my Stampin' Up! business, so that being said...

I can not believe it is that time of year again, the new catalog is around the corner. As a Demonstrator one of the perks is seeing it early, and getting to order early as well.

I would love to have you join my team and you too can do like I did and get your hands on yummy goodness early.

Did you know that you can pick brand new stuff in your starter kit?  Yep you can pick pre-order it!!!  For $99.00 and tax (Stampin' Up! pays the shipping...more savings for you), you can pick $125.00 worth of goodies.

Ok but you say "I don't really want to be a Demonstrator right now, I prefer to just order from you and get that amazing customer service you always give, I just want the catalog."

No worries...if you are one of my Stamp Club members (Club is starting in May, sign up today!), one of my Paper Pumpkin Pals or one of my regular customers and you have ordered at least $60.00 since January 2018 (there is still time!) I will send you a catalog free. Please make sure to log into your account and correct your mailing address if necessary. If you have checked the no contact box in the past this is the perfect time to uncheck that so that I can send you a catalog if you earned one...otherwise I don't know who you are.

If you are not a regular customer and you do not have a Demonstrator but you would like one, please let me know by April 28 (any later and the postage will go up to $6.70).  The cost of mailing the catalog is $5.00, the catalog is free and my gift to you, I just need to recoop the postage.  I will send you a paypal link for the $5.00, and I will also send you a coupon for $5.00 off your first order of $50.00 or more so you will get your postage money back. Cool eh?

(Please note I can only mail catalogs within the US, thanks for understanding.)

Catalogs will be mailed around the middle of May.  You can begin ordering from it on June 1.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at or 602-339-2776.
