…bowl.
I got a bunch of old stamp sets etc. from my friend and among all of the boxes was a pretty fish bowl. She had used it for door prizes etc. I washed it up and set it on the counter.
Then I thought hey maybe we need a fish. We had a fish tank years ago when we lived in Mesa and we had a Betta (pronouced Bet-ta – did you know that? I always said Bay-ta) years ago too. I know he was in a bowl and we had him quite a while but my memory sucks.
So I headed to the petstore after my downline Make n Takes n Lunch (Toby in his old age needs canned dog food now) and got everything to set up the bowl. It looks so darling and "King Arthur" is what I call him since he is a Crown Tail Male Betta is so beautiful. But now I think I want a bigger tank for him. Not like a huge one that takes up a whole wall but a nice 3 – 5 gallon one that has a filter and a pump, and a light that can sit in the corner on the kitchen counter.
Do any of you have a Betta? What do you use? What do you suggest? Anything you have learned with your experience?

Have an awesome Monday (I am typing this Sunday night and am getting ready for the return of The Walking Dead – where are my kleenexes?).
Thanks for stopping in.
My niece has a Betta and she told me that do better in bowls instead of a tank. They need to be the only fish in the bowl or they will fight each other. He is a beautiful Betta.
Hi Linda, Oh he will still be alone I just want him to have more room so I ended up getting a 3.7 gallon aquarium. He is beautiful eh? Hugs, Di
You can put them with other fish as long as they are not bettas fish. I've had a series of bettas in my classroom for the past 15 years. Each one lived about 5 years.
Hi Heidi, Hmmmm….we will have to see, I do have a marimo ball in there. What other kinds of fish did you have with the Betta? What size was the tank? Hugs, Di
