We usually do potlucks when we have my Di's Country INKers quarterly Make n Takes n Lunch, this is fun as you get to try new things, or sometimes there is a fave recipe and you say "please bring your salsa Ruth!!!!"
At the last potluck Mari brought this amazing Three Bean Salad with Wild Rice and I wanted to make it for supper, I had marinated a flank steak and I knew it would be so good together.
It was and look, no potato chips on the plate. Ha!

Let me know what you think. I made it a bit quicker by throwing the frozen peas into the hot rice, cause then the peas cooled the rice and the hot rice thawed the peas. Yeah I can have a great idea sometime.
Ok, so I won't take a picture of my messy kitchen...and that means I better get off here and go clean it up.
