I can not believe I still have not blogged about my Country INKers Retreat…Yikes! Well here goes…we will see if I get it all in one post or not…
In March I held my first retreat with my downline, local girls and out of state girls came and it was so much fun. We already have almost a full house for our April 2017 retreat already. We even added a day!!
Here are the girls and their swag bags filled with all sorts of goodies. They received stamps and accessories and make n take supplies, they also got pillow gifts each night too.
My sweet friend Tamra Davis (I need to find her etsy store it is Ta Da something) did the bags for us and I use mine all the time still. I wanted the bag to be Lands End like and hold tons.
My BFF Tracy flew in a couple days earlier and she was our chef and oh my gosh I had lost about ten pounds before she got here and it was not long that I had put them back on, the food was incredible. Here she is making up the grocery list!
I had hinted at one time on my blog about Jeff doing something with a wood log circle and this is what it was for. Cute cake pops, that were ducks and chicks. They were adorable and delicious!
The girls started arriving and it was so fun seeing their faces when they saw how fun the house was set up for them. I lucked out and was able to find a house ten minutes from mine that was huge, with a pool, a theater room and everything. This was extra nice because we could come to my studio to stamp (some of the girls had never been here so it was nice being able to show off the studio). Jeff was awesome cause if we needed something he would run it over.
Welcome packets were waiting at the door for everyone.
This was their first little goodie. Inside was a mason jar for drinking and each had a different colored wrap on it in their favorite colors. My most talented downline Leslie Herbert made them. Jeff drilled a hole in the lid, add a gasket and straw and voila'.
The house even had a spinning wheel, so I set it up for daily prizes. I really wanted my retreat to feel like Founder's Circle felt for me. Being spoiled and feeling appreciated.
Here is Robin spinning for her prize. What did she get?
Wendy, Robin, Elena and Patty working on their make n takes. We stamped at the studio for a while and then headed back to the retreat house and then they could work on their projects whenever they wanted. We also did a shoe box swap they worked at too.
The girls stamped, went shopping ate, and giggled, and even rested. Some may have spent a whole day in jammies too. Gotta love that.
Denise showing off her card.
Ashley and Susan stamping…maybe in their jammies…ha! These two make me so jealous they are a Mum and daughter duo and they make me miss my Mum so much. In fact looking back at all these pics makes me miss all these girls so much and I can't wait till next year.
I found this fun frame on one of my antique hunts that we used as a prop.
Michelle and I trying it out while she stamps.
I loved how everyone got to know each other better and even when it was all over and everyone was saying goodbye and they could not wait till next year. They were already saying they wanted the same room and room mate next time!
We watched "New in Town' the last night, if you have not seen this movie it is a must.
I think I will blog more about my retreat tomorrow, this one got long…I still need to find more of my pics.
Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
I cannot wait until next April when I can join in on the fun!!
