Before you know it fireworks will be lighting up the sky, pop!pop!pop! and Toby will be a shaking mess under my feet. We have neighbors that seem to think the 4th of July is for a week or so and like to set them off just whenever. At least we have had some rain recently and knocked down a bit of the dryness.
Did you get here from Ellie's blog? I am excited that she has joined us for the first time!!! Her project was spectacular wasn't it?
We are having fun this month with our hop… it is Red, White & Blue. Today is actually Canada day so I should have did just a red and white one eh? Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadian peeps and my friend Leah Miller who is a wanna be Canadian.
This new Jar of Love set is amazing…this is an altered card from one I did for the class in the mail, changed some colors, added some speckles. I was inspired by Julie DeGuia, thanks Julie!
I stamped the jar and greeting on cardstock vellum first and then turned it over and with a sponge dauber rubbed on Island Indigo ink…it gives the look of a jar… you can see the stems peeking out. Hint: I stamped the greeting first and then the jar over top it was easier to make sure it was straight.

I stumbled upon your card on Pinterest and recognized it right away! LOL! Thanks for crediting me… and in my blog post for this card you will see it was a CASE of a card by Shawn de Oliveira. Interesting the way cards evolve! This is great for a red/white/blue theme and I love the ink splatters you added!
Hi Julie, I am glad you recognized it. I love your card…and Shawn's card too. This set is so much fun. Big hugs, Di
