You know I have talked about my crazy dental problems, in May I had to have a tooth pulled and they put in a bone graft, then I had an implant put in about a month ago and was giving me problems hurting etc. So I went in last week and they looked at it cause it still felt swollen and he said no it looked good, and he trimmed my flipper denture so I could wear it without it rubbing my gum. We were off to the OnStage in San Diego and I didn't want to look like a Jack-O-Lantern with my missing tooth. All went well, in fact look at these fun pictures.
They had fun dealie bobs to hang onto to get our pictures taken.
Left to right: Susan, Tari, Lonnie, Denise, Marlene (MAMMa), Rhonda, me & Ashley – we couldn't find Stephanie when we were taking the picture.
Susan, Ashley & Denise are Californians so this was great to have OnStage almost in their backyards. I loved hugging their necks and we even stopped at Susan's on the way home and checked out her awesome studio. If you live near Brawley, CA make sure to give Susan a holler.
Us being silly.
Tari, Rhonda and I. What a fun weekend…
…then I woke up to my implant working it's way out this morning, by this afternoon…
…it was all the way out. For the love of Pete. Of course my dentist is sick and the oral surgeon was out of town so I could not get in till tomorrow.
What say you? Give up, and live with the hole and a fake flipper?
Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.
Do tooth fairies do steel? Probably more sanitary. Hm…maybe stamps instead of quarters? I sure hope so. I think I'd risk it and put it under the pillow. Sorry you have to go through this. Hope they can make it all better tomorrow. And I'm so glad you managed to have fun at OnStage.
Hugs – Jean
You poor thing! I HATE the dentist, any shape or form. I would ask some serious questions…like….WHY did this fall out?? Will it always do this, as a way for my body telling me it shouldn't be there in the first place? If you aren't pleased with the answers, then do the fake tooth, at least if it comes out, you are the one that takes it out. And no pain involved!! Just saying……..
I would really be asking some serious questions of the dentist. I know this is nit a simple process, and it goes on and on forever it seems. I think it's too much to go through for one tooth but you will have to decide. Get a crown would be my suggestion. However, I am just going through stuff with my teeth too. Got lots of work done in 2008 and 2009. Lots of crowns and bridges. I was led to believe that once you get these, they're done. No, no, and no! Replacement is now happening. So much fun. And my crown has come unglued, they glued it back in (temporary glue) and it's popping out again. I don't think there's a perfect solution unfortunately! Hoid luck regardless of what you choose!
Thanks Jean, will try again in February. Ugh. Big hugs, Di
Hi Julie,
Some fail and of course I am that minute % that did. Will try again in February. Ugh. I hate to think I need to wear a fake tooth flipper for the rest of my life, it makes me gag. Hugs, Di
Hi Debra,
I don't have a tooth there to do a crown. Hugs, Di
Diana–I am not sure what kind of implant you are getting–cause I never had a flipper–I have 3 dental implants on my bottom left side and the middle one shattered at the beginning even with a bone graft so I had to wait for 8 months for it to heal and then we tried it again…But my front one had the screw come out it was much smaller than the pic you showed–my oral surgeon was in Lincoln–3 hours away so I called his cell phone and he told me to put it into a ziplock bag until the following week when my appointment was about 4-5 days just be careful no food got in the hole I was worried it would close up however when I went he just put a new screw in and tighted it down…All I can tell you is that it took me 3 years to get them in and they were very costly but now that I have them they are good!! Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way–Hang in there Stampin Friend!!
