Not sure if it is cause I am getting older or just that things happen in threes, fours or more.
Recently there have been such sad things happening to the sweetest people I know, deaths (please God listen to me and take me before Jeff, I will never survive if anything happens to him or Eric). Divorces, accidents, illnesses. I often hear people say that God does not give us more than we can handle.
But sometimes I do question how strong people can be before they break.
I am sorry that this is not my normal spunky post…but when I heard this song from my favorite band, Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand I loved the message, it makes me cry when I think of losing my family and friends and I question why people are taken when they are young or not young, but before I think their time on earth is over, when there are people here that still need them. Yes "The Sun Will Shine" again and we must believe that we will be stronger, even if we don't see it at the moment…or for many moments after.
Here's the video. I had to wait till today to post it, but Ashley with Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand said I was good to go. If it does not work….please try this…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9Evn83Mieo
It's the end of year for our physicals and and as I was walking out of the office after my appointment there was a brand new shiny penny beside my truck, I have heard of pennies from heaven and I have to believe that the penny was left by Poppa and Granny to give me hope that things will be ok.
As I got in my truck holding the warm penny in my hand I asked God to please help my friends heal their hearts, ease their burdens, and make us all healthy for another year.
Sending you hugs and love my sweet readers, and I hope if you are having troubles that this song might help in a little way.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
Love the song. Thanks for sharing. It's hard seeing those we love going through bad times. Hoping for brighter days for those special people in your life.
Bring back the happy go lucky Diana……having said that I guess we all have slumps in life….my Mom always says things will work out and I often tell myself that…?but I think sometimes as we age things can get more difficult and we are not always ready for change…..I like the song and have never heard it before….good one to listen to when we are down……not sure if I made any sense…..keep your chin up……good friend!!!!
Yes, we all have trials and tribulations in our lives. But, we need to keep the faith and know that God only does good. He is not capable of evil and when we are at our lowest, He is always there to help us. Just remember the poem, " Footprints in the Sand"
I had never heard this song…but it sure is appropriate for me right now…Hope that you have happier times ahead…we just lost our best friend of 60 years…he was 69 and died unexpected…mowed his grass and went up to the corner gas station for a soda and died right there in the store…very quick…as we all know he was with the Lord before he hit the floor…but it is so hard….will pray for you and your family.
on the penny it says "In God we trust" sometimes we need that little reminder to help us keep faith in God who knows all our needs.
The verse often misquoted is from 1st Corinthians 10:13. God will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you can endure without giving you an escape. I paraphrased that, but you might like looking it up. We may all endure suffering which sometimes will be more than what we can endure just as the disciples endured much. However, as others have posted here, God will always be with you if you call on Him. God bless!
