Quarters for a Cause Display

I had a one of my Quarters for a Cause events tonight, it is always a great time, for a great cause, and lots of laughs and tears too.

Tonight was for a sweet man who has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (stage 4 brain cancer). He's 44 and the main breadwinner for his family. He is an Army Veteran and was a single father solely raising his daughter until he met Lori.  His daughter was there tonight, and he and Lori had planned on being there too, but he had a seizure and had to go to the hospital.  So lots of prayers are being said for him.

This is a quick post as Jeff lost a friend from work this week to cancer and we have his funeral to go to in the morning. Not a great week my friends.

Have a great Friday and thanks for stopping in.

Wow, it certainly sounds like a week you will be relieved is over. My thoughts and prayers to both families. I wish we could just wipe out that big "C", forever.

Did you ever see the movie White Oleander? Those suitcases remind me of that movie.

Thanks Julie, I agree. Too many people die from this horrible disease. Hugs, Di

Hi Courtney, I have not seen that movie. I love old suitcases and they make displaying stuff and toting it around so easy. I am kinda picky with that they need to be clean and smelling good inside and that can be hard sometimes. Come out here and see us! Love ya, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
