Sale-A-Bration is Here!

March's Mini Masterpiece – How to Get One

This Week's Deals

Class in the Mail ~ Butterfly Basics

I (Heart) Paper Pumpkin ~ Save during Sale-A-Bration

7 page PDF – How to Watercolor with Ink Refills

Well it is not the frizzle chicks I was wanting (maybe I will get those next year).  I ran over to Merchant Square and picked up a few things and heard an ad on the radio it was chick day at Shoppers Supply and I knew there was one in AJ cause Emily told me about it, but they also had one in Chandler and that is where I was…so it was kinda fate right?

So I punched in the address in my map dealie and off I went.  Well look who came home with me.

3 little ducks…

11041775_10205064480085918_1184232630936451371_n

…and 2 chicks…this picture is not that good.

Let me introduce you…you'll see where I am going with the names…ha!

Mary

I am Mary – I am a Barred Rock and I will be like Aunt Bea

Rhoda

I am Rhoda – I am a Rhode Island Red and I will be like Stella (RIP) and Polly

Georgette

I am Georgette and I will be a white duck and I am not sure the breed yet…anyone know on the ducks please let me know. The store showed me on the computer and like a dork I didn't write them down.

Edith

I am Edith, let me tell you the ducks were harder to take pics of than the chicks.

Edith's backside

Here is Edith being camera shy.

Phyllis

I am Phyllis…she (please God let them all be girls, the store said 99% sure) has a little tuft of hair on the top of her head and she is so soft.

New Family

They are all set up in the brooder with the heat lamp on them.

Class in the Mail - Sheltering Tree 022

We can watch them from the window by the kitchen table.

Am hoping they all get along. The ducks will grow way faster than the chicks.  I can't wait till they are a bit bigger to let them swim a bit. I will definitely get a picture. I want to do it in the tub, but Jeff is not going for it…might have to bribe him.

Well this old gal is gonna check the heat lamp and make sure it is set right, the sun is down and night is here.

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

Too cute! I'm jealous of the chicks and ducklings, I grew up with them and would love some now, but the deeds of my house say no :'( I shall live vicariously through you!!

Oh what fun for you Diana…you certainly have a lot of love for them.
Their names are so sweet. This should be interesting to all of us.

I think that, in order to appreciate their names, you have to be a 'certain age'!!! lol Tell us, please, what Toby thinks of your new babies. Finally more animals that are smaller than he is!

Hi Sam, you certainly can. They are fun, I wish my studio had the window out to the back porch so I can watch them and work…I don't work in the kitchen…ha! Hugs, Di

Hi Kathy, or watch TVLand..ha! Toby loves them and thought that Georgette might be a yummy snack when I brought her in the house yesterday, I told him he was naughty and he better figure it out. He loves the big girls so I am sure he will be fine with these girls when they get bigger. Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
