7 page PDF – How to Watercolor with Ink Refills
I wanted to make Jeff a Valentine and I bought a small heart shaped box of chocolates at the store.
Then using my Heart Framelits I started to decorate the box. I kept it very simple, I mean it is for my hubby and I did not want fancy and girly.
I did want to be able to write something loving inside so I made the top heart have a score so I could do that.
I used the Love you to the Moon set from the Occasions catalog for my inside and outside greetings.
You can see where I cut the outside heart with the framelit, I moved the framelit up a bit so that I still have the score lines so I could open the heart. By using the same colored Cherry Cobbler cardstock for both hearts the heart on front is not as noticeable that it has the flat top.
I used the Adorning accents embossing folder to add a little bit of texture to the front and under the greeting. It needed something up in the corner but I didn't want to use ribbon…remember not girly. So I remember I had these cute wood people from one of the Paper Pumpkin kits, and well my hubby loves to be out in his shop on his shop smith, so I thought it was a perfect embellishment. What do you think? Cute but manly eh? Plus look how they are holding hands…eek! Cute!!!
Hope this finds you being able to snuggle with your Valentine today.
Have a sweet Friday and thanks for stopping in.
I love how you changed the front of the heart to your liking. You did a great job and I am sure that Jeff will love it. You are so creative. I bet you will have a great surprise for you on that special day. What a creative couple you two are. He in the shop and you in you Craft Studio. A match made in Heaven. Have a wonderful Valentines Day to you both..
Very cute – I'm sure he will love it.
Love the little wooden people – and if he ever decides to toss the package out…some years down the road when you are spring cleaning or something…you can put the little wooden people on your bathroom door!!
love ya
Jax
Adorable!!!
