101025 Christmas card class Julie Davison close

It is not a winter frost here yet, but they are saying it will be a cold night.  Gotta make sure the chicks heat lamp never burns out.  I keep our bedroom door open so I can look through the night to see the glow through the kitchen window.

We painted the hen house today, still need to hook it to coop and put in the linoleum floor, cut the wire so they can go in and out. will post pics tomorrow cause Jeff wants to get it done. It took 6 guys I think to move it to its spot. I don't think they have a clue what is going on. Will wait a few days before they use it though cause of the paint and the floor, in case there are fumes.

Years and years ago I had asked Granny if I could have her picture of Jesus when she passed away. It always sat on the TV. She said yes I could in fact several times after she was put in the home (it sat by her bed then), she told me to take it because she was afraid it would get broken or stolen and I said no I would wait a long long long time for it.  Well sadly my Granny passed away this year, so when Jacqui came to visit me she said she had some presents, one was a wacky stuffed chicken that Toby swears is his. Then she handed me this other one all wrapped in bubble wrap and I knew what it was, I almost didn't want to unwrap it but I did and whew, it made me cry. Now Granny's Jesus sits on our entertainment center and I love it all the more.

Makes me smile and shed a tear at the same time when I look at it. It has a little thing to turn at the back and it plays music. Jacqui didn't think it worked anymore, but when I turned it, it did. I love you Granny and miss you so much, but happy she is with Poppa now.

So after crying over opening up Jesus, Jacqui gives me something else to open.  Before she came she asked me what my favorite saying is, and I guess I don't have one cause I couldn't think of one, I said Granny always said "If you're singing for me you can shutup anytime" and we laughed about that…Granny had a lot of fun sayings…so I opened up this…

It made me laugh and cry.  My cousin makes these and Jacqui had her make it and have the little lines by Granny's name as a quote. I love it and it hangs in my studio.

I'm sharing another card from my Christmas card class, this one I cased from Julie Davison,  I just changed the greeting. Thanks Julie!!

Very sweet post, Diana! Such a familiar picture of Jesus…. I can hear my dad singing "Oh how I love Jesus…because he first loved me." Such a dear sister you have!

I love your card, but I especially LOVE the gifts of memories! Now you can look and have the visual reminders that your Granny is always with you as well as the memories you have in your heart everyday and even though it may bring a tear that she isn't here in body it also brings a smile that she is always near in love! Thanks for sharing with us.

It is wonderful to have that picture that your grandma always had and the saying she used to say. You will always have those precious memories of her each time you see them. That was so sweet of Jacqui to have that made for you. Family is everything.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
