The New Chicks on the Block

This 'n' That

4 Oct

Are you ready for so adorable and sweet you will squeal peep?  I went and got the girls today, I should have taken a picture of all the chicks in the tub, there was probably close to 100 of them.

Let me introduce you, as you will be watching them grow up.

Laverne
This is Laverne, a little camera shy. She is an Ameraucana which is also called an Easter Egger, she will lay blue or green eggs.

Laverne side
Here's a better shot of Laverne. Isn't she so cute?

Shirley
Here is Shirley (ya can't have Laverne without Shirley right?) plus they are both Ameraucana's, I picked Shirley to be a bit darker, I mean she was the brunette right?  Who knows as they grow if they will look more alike, but I hope I can always tell them apart. If not, I'll just say "hey look there is Laverne & Shirley".

Shirley front
Here is Shirley again, I love how it looks like she has eye liner on. "Yes I'm ready for my close up".

Polly side
This is Polly, and she is a Rhode Island Red, she is the same as Stella, so she will get lots darker.

Polly back
Here's Polly's cute backside.  Gotta keep making sure they have clean butts…so far so good. You can see she already has her little wings starting to grow.

Aunt Bea
Here is Aunt Bea, she is a Barred Rock. She is probably the smallest of all of them right now.

Aunt Bea again
Aunt Bea again, she is just so cute, they all are.

Maggie
This is Maggie and she is a Silver Laced Wyandotte, she has some really pretty colors already.

Maggie with coffee
Maggie has already decided she might like to be a stamper.

The babies are home!
Here they are checking out their new home. I have to regulate the temperature, they don't have a Mamma to crawl under to keep warm, so I have a heat lamp. It is warm during the day still here so I have to mess with it a bit so it does not get too hot. At night I have to put it lower over the tub to keep them warm at night.

We have them sitting on a table on the back porch right outside the window by the kitchen table, so it is perfect I can watch them and…

023

…so can Toby, he loves them and wants to see them all the time.

Here is a cute little video so you can see them in action.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in. Peep!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
