Cute Gift Card Holder

This 'n' That

9 Sep

Fall Fest 2013 005 copy

Woke up today to rain and a nice cool, although humid day…that is a perfect day to stay in my jammies and stamp! Come on, you do that now and then right?

I got all my Founder's Circle cards done…yay! Earliest ever I have.  I have other swaps, thank you cards, club cards, top ten cards, etc. to do so I need to get crackin'.

I wanted to show another Fall Fest make n take, this is a cute gift card holder using the Pop N Cuts die #130099. This design was based on a card we saw at convention, I kinda don't remember…I might have been sick in bed that day, but Rhonda says it was…ha!

It uses the adorable stamp set Perfect Blend, which makes this being a gift card holder even cuter for those Starbucks gift cards eh?

Here is the inside so you can see where the gift card goes…gee Di, might have made more sense to stick one in there eh?

Here are the measurements and instructions.

Start with a 6"x12" piece of paper and the PNC big shot die, run the paper through the big shot so you get your pop n cut shape.
With your Simply Scored board, lay the straight edge on the left and score at  3-1/2",  5-1/2",  7-1/2".
Fold on score lines with the center fold forming the inside peak of the mountain fold.  It forms a 'w"
add adhesive (sticky strip or green tip) to the sides and bottom just at the outside edge to seal the base of the mountain fold, you need to be able add your gift card so you can not glue it all the way closed.
Now you have a back, a mid section that stands up, and a front panel to your holder
using the word window punch, hold the folded edge and line up punch at right side with right outside edge of punch handle (this leaves some cardstock intact on the folded section at the sides) repeat same step on the left side with the left edge of punch you may have a small space in the center to snip out with a third punch or paper snips this creates the "gift card section" … that you can now slide a gift card into.  *optional * decorate the inside with images and greetings as you want insert curved ends into the pre-cut corner slots and you're done!
Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.

Thank you for sharing this idea and the directions. I just made one and am going to use it in my stamp classes this week. My girls have been wanting a gift card holder and this is perfect!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
