There are so many amazing samples in the new catalog and while I was looking around I noticed this cute little box on page 60 and it had a darling wooden spool with some of the new ruffle stretch trim (that everyone needs!) and I had to do it.
Look how stinking adorable it is! That is a picture of my Mum and my Aunt Donna. The saying is a snippet of a greeting from Thoughts and Prayers, and the stretch ribbon is the new Crisp Cantaloupe…the new In Colors are amazing this year! Shhh…don't tell but I like them better than last years.
Look how cute it is on my mirrored shelf…which I still need to do the banner for but I might do something like the banner on page 60 that is on the box I was talking about. I have been so busy I have not had time to make it…maybe Sunday I will, after my Catalog Kick Off and Rubber Sale on Saturday.
Oh and I went ahead and did up an Easel Calendar, (it uses the Tea for Two Easel Calendar Digital Template #130664) I really missed not having one. Here are the months that have passed.
So fun, I didn't do anything special with the template, I removed a few flowers, and added some dropped shadows, and the little insta-love on April, oh and I changed the color on June cause it was blue. This template is so fun and easy. Just drop them pictures in and send it off to the Stampin' Up! printer.
Don't forget…
The 25% off sale for My Digital Studio ends June 15. Check it out today!
Eric called me today, he is headed home tomorrow, and he said he is missing me a little now. Gotta love him. He has been having a blast, swimming, bowling, fishing and just having fun. It has done us all good. Jeff and I have been enjoying our alone time at home, kinda getting an idea what it will be like when Eric moves out, and Eric is getting an idea of what not being at home is like. Slow but sure right?
Have you seen the show Renovation Raiders? Do you really think they get it done in 5 hours? And the host I am thinking do you really wear high heeled boots when you are carrying around cupboards, I am thinking a nice pair of work boots would make more sense. I know she is probably super strong, but I say let the guys carry the heavy stuff. The show tonight the kitchen was amazing when they were done…well it also included a dining room and living room…makes me wonder how that back splash was put on, I didn't see any grout. Wonder if they have to go back and patch anything up? Still a fun show though.
OK, I'm hitting the sheets.
Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
Hi Diana! I hadn't even seen that spool in the catalog. I can look at it 30 times and still find something I didn't see before! I love the spool you did, but can't tell what you have the picture on? Is that a paperclip or what did you put in the hole? Is it glued in at all? I need to try one of these! Thanks so much!
Hi Maria,
It is just a paperclip. I spread it a bit so it fit snug against the inside of the hole but I will probably hot glue it. Hugs, Di
Love how you decorated that spool with the ruffled ribbon Diana !! So clever ! Now I need to find something that I can decorate too. LOL Cheers !
