It’s Hot!

This 'n' That

2013 – 2014 Product Shares

Mystery Hostess Online Workshop – Ends June 8

015 copy
Washi tape…but I like to call it Wasabi tape…cause it's hot, is so much fun.  This is a new item that we carry in the catalog now and I love the gingham!!!

I said the other day that I picked up something to store my Washi tape on. I picked up this.

008 copy
It hangs on the wall and it is for like messages you poke the paper on the stake thing. So a little bit of spray paint and now I have this.

010 copy
Lots better eh? So I hung it on the wall and put my tape on it and…

011 copy
…voila' Neat eh? I put some hot glue on the tip so not to stab myself accidentally.  It is hanging over by my desk and no one goes over there, but just in case. I see these all the time so might have to grab a couple more next time. I also thought it would a cute purse hanger too.

So I did a swap with the preview items that we could order from the new catalog and this is the one my sweetie Rhonda Morgan made.

014 copy
Look how cute the Washi tape is on there.  She is so funny.  So this set is Chalk Talk and we earned it if we recruited during Sale-a-Bration, and it has a matching framelit….BUT…the framelit was not available till May 31.  So the swap was due like the 24 or something. So anyway, Rhonda had us laughing the other night when she was talking about making the card cutting all the paper etc and then looking through all her framelits for the one that matches it only to then realize, she didn't have it yet…so she had to hand cut them all out…there were like 21 cards in the swap…yikes!  Elizabeth Martinez and I teased her and said we always make one card first and then that is the card you decide if it needs changes or whatever…I think next time she will, but the card turned out amazing anyway. Love ya Rhon and thanks for the laugh!

Oh and a lot of you asked what is on the tree?  I don't know how to add an arrow so I cropped it and made it bigger.

010
The tree is not very old so the trunk is not big, the bug is only about the size of like your pointer finger nail. Can you see him now?

Well I better hit the hay, gotta get up early tomorrow to see Eric off, he is going to Colorado for a week with people from work, I am a little worried this will be his first time ever doing anything like this and well it is a big step.  So I will sign off and try to sleep and not worry.

Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.

WOW!!! That pokey thingy looks dangerous!!! Glad you put hot glue on the tip!!! I don't have any washi tape yet, but I know it won't be long!!! LOL I think you will need a few more of those holders. I need to look around for some cool shops here and find me some useful items.

Good Luck to Eric on his trip!!! He will be fine. Can't wait to hear how it all goes for him.

If that bug is what I think it is it's a stink bug. And boy do the sink if you kill it. They will come in the house any way it can and get in the folds of your curtains etc. This bug is awful!!!!!! Birds will not eat it it has no known predator. I hate this critter one of the worse insects.

Just wanted to say thanks for always posting such cute things, cards & otherwise treasures! I love your blog and feel like I know your family through your posts.
I'm sure you'll be concerned for Eric, say a prayer and look forward to all of the fun stories he'll have to share when he gets home.

If you were here in Maryland, I'd say that was a stink bug like those written up here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_marmorated_stink_bug If that is it, don't squeeze it, it will stink! Maybe your critter is something very different or a long-lost relative of the stink bug. Good luck figuring it out, and good luck to Eric on his trip!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
