Mini Masterpiece for April – Collect them All!

007 copy

I ran a bunch of errands today, it was a warm day and lots of people were out and about. I am trying to find a bathing suit and I am not having any luck. I think I need to go to an actual bathing suit place cause I am getting more and more frustrated and disgusted with my body the longer it takes.

I have a 10/10/25 Birthday card class this weekend and this is one of the cards. I cased it from the very talented Debra Currier, thanks Debra!

005 copy

Stamp Set: Blue Ribbon

Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Brights DSP Stack

Ink: Real Red

Misc: 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, bitty buttons, white bakers twine, woodgrain embossing folder

So did you watch the next rounds of blind juding on the Voice? If you didn't look away…and read no more. Although they must do these all at one time cause the judges have the same clothes on all the time. How many glittery outfits with the little hole in the belly do you think Shakira has?

Ok so my two cents:

Swon Brothers: music was too loud and hard to hear them singing. Blake's team

Taylor Beckman:  past gymnast, young and pretty, voice was quite. Usher's team.

Sam Alves: got better as it speeded up, not my style and no one picked him – does anyone change their mind and chase them back stage later?

Karina (didn't get last name):  loved it, I wanna be like the judges and just listen and not look but I get a kick out of the interaction of the judges behind the chairs. Adam's team.

Garret: this was a fun song, and Shakira was the only one that picked him and it was the last minute.

Holly: so cute and very talented. Blake's team.

Landon: Not a strong voice

Michelle: fun nerdy girl, loved that she asked the judges a question, why shouldn't she audition/interview them too? Usher's team.

Julie Roberts: I kinda remember her on the radio a few year's back, will have to look her up, but no one picked her, and Blake felt so bad cause they know each other…oops!

Monique: crazy pink shoes, fun beat. Shakira's team.

Warren: loved that his kids were there. Adam won a country star!!

Audrey: very neat voice – Usher's team

Brandon: awesome voice and very unique look, can't believe more judges did not turn around. Shakira's team

Betsy: sounded like Adele, and I love Adele, but pick your own style. No one picked her

Patrick: fun family, crazy dreadlocked hair he will be fun to watch. Adam's team

Orlando: a little pitchy and quiet – Usher's team…but he said he was gonna challenge him or something like that

Savannah: very unique voice – Blake's team.

So far I am loving this show can't wait till the teams are all picked…that must get dicey when they come down to the last 1 or 2 to fill their team eh?

Well this old chick is off to bed.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.

Cute card! Looks like a good design to use for a stamp camp. …Try Lands' End for bathing suits. They're really good quality and lots of styles to choose from. You can even mix and match tops and bottoms – if you're into the two-piece variety. You could order 2-3 suits, then send back what you don't want (or return to a Sears store for free returns). This is not a paid endorsement.

LOVE this card, Diana! Love the white with shades of color on top. May just use this idea in an upcoming card class I have.

    Thank you for sharing!

I always think of the Cathy comic strips every time I have to go bathing suit shopping. It is an utter nightmare. I happened to be on main street/Apache Trl and Recker the other day. There is a small Joann's craft store and a goodwill in a shopping plaza there. In between is a small swimsuit shop called Ma's swimwear. They happened to carry larger sizes so I decided to go in and see what they had. the variety and prices were surprisingly good. They also had better quality products than what you'd typically find in walmart or target. I ended up finding my perfect black suit for summer. It was a great surprise.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
