040 copy

I have not seen the movie or the play, figure I would wait till it comes out and I can turn on the subtitles, I don't do good with musicals.

I told you I would share what I demonstrated at Spring Fling. Rhonda and I always do a quick demonstration after lunch. We usually show a new technique or a new product. I saw the cutest video that Kimberly Van Diepen did making these little dresses and I had to do it…and warning, they are addictive, they are worse than Lays chips, you can't make just one. Thanks Kimberly!!!! This uses the new Pop ' N Cut Dress form, die and framelits.

Tip: the Tulle that SU! carried in the Holiday catalog is a much better quality than what you get at the craft stores.  It takes quite a bit of heating to make it shrink and be careful you don't burn it, the craft store stuff goes crinkly fast!

My sweet friend and downline Mary Noble sent me some pics of me Demonstrating…Thanks Mary!

Cheesy grin.

Explaining how to fold the pop up card. I'll show you the card tomorrow.

Now look out here comes the fashion show….

003 copy
An angel in white. I went back and forth with this one whether I added wings or not and I opted not to.

019 copy
Check out those cute shoes…ok they are not shoes, they are old wooden spools covered with DSP.

024 copy
This one was pretty close to Pool Party. I need to go back and heat and crinkle a bit. It has been smooshed a bit with being packed a few times and shown around.

029 copy
I love this kinda goth one.

028 copy
I painted the spool and dowel rod black and added rhinestones along the edge that I had colored with a black sharpie.

044 copy
This is the Stampin' Up! tulle and it does not crinkle like the other, so then I wanted to do one that I didn't heat it up.

038 copy
Gotta love that First Edition DSP, the tulle keeps the dowel rod tucked into the spool.

042 copy
This one I left without heating, a girl has to have one fancy dress right?

043 copy
This was a fun little base, I glued the Ribbon Trim on top of the spool. Now you need to weigh them down a bit, so if you have a washer or something that would work, when I was doing them it was late and Jeff was sleeping so I just glued quarters to the bottom of the spool.

Spring Fling demo teaser
Remember when I showed this as a tease? It was actually…

Spring Fling demo tease copy
…this!

Oh and to get the sparkle, I took the smooch spritz and spritzed the dress (after it was heated and crinkled) and then I sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds and then shook the excess off.

Oh I did a frame too, but I need to take pictures, I will show it tomorrow with the card.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

    Hi Liz,
The spools are all different sizes, I got them from my Granny, but you can find them in antique stores or online. Actually if they are a bit bigger they are more stable. Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
