Together at Last

This 'n' That

18 Jan

Img010

Granny is with Poppa now. She passed away peacefully tonight,we should all be so lucky. I wish I could have been there, but my Mum, and Aunt and niece were and I am sure that Poppa was there with his arms open wide telling her it was about time. In fact Poppa died Nov 17, 1997 and Granny died on January 17, 2013 that is a long time to be apart. Even though I am happy they are together again my heart still is aching that she is gone.

I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of them, this was in 1980 at my cousin's wedding, Poppa with his hands in his pockets bunching up his coat. Granny in one of her favorite dresses.

Thank you Poppa and Granny for all you did for me and making me the person I am today, I hope they are looking down from heaven and I know that some day we will be together again.

Thank you for all your kind emails and messages from my post yesterday, thanks for letting me use my blog like a diary now and then.

Hugs, Di

    Diana,
I follow your blog daily and just wanted to say I am sorry for your loss of your Gramma but to am happy she is with her husband again. My great grandparents lived to be in their mid 90's and I was lucky enough to have them both until I was 25 and count my blessings every day. They haev been gone for over 20 years but I honestly still miss them everyday. It does get easier but they are still in my heart everyday. You are in my thoughts.
