My sweet and talented friend Valerie Brotton emailed me a Halloween card with punch owl creatures and I had to do one too (thanks Val, it only took me hours….but many fun hours) I changed mine up a bit, it has been a long time since I have made a scene card and I had to work up a story, it has been a while since a put a story to a card too.  Remember my reindeer story?

Once upon a time Larry, Darryl and his other brother Darryl came home from school to get ready to go trick or treating. Larry and Darryl had been working for weeks on their costumes, but Darryl liked to play video games and laughed at Larry and Darryl wasting all their time.

So once Darryl started getting on his Mummy costume Darryl got a little worried.

Look at all the details, the Mummy has ripped sheets, the blood shot eyes, Darryl was going to get lots of candy tonight.

Then when Darryl saw Larry getting on his Frankenstein costume he was even more sad that he had spent so much time playing games instead of getting his costume ready.

Look at these fun details, Frankie has been zapped with electricity so much one eye is bigger than the other, and you remember that the lady Frankie loved fell in love with Dr. Frankenstein, so it left Frankie with a broken heart. Lucky Larry still had his Three Stooges Mo wig from the year before and it worked perfect for his costume.

Then Darryl thought I'll be a ghost, that is easy. BUT Mum had all the sheets in the wash and all that was left was the one off his bed with the green chevron on it.

He couldn't even find mathing shoes in his messy room. But Larry and Darryl loved Darryl so much they told him he looked like a Charlie Brown ghost, so that made Darryl very happy. He was even more happy that they shared their candy with him too, cause he was all bummed out that everyone thought he was an Easter egg. I think Darryl will put more thought into his costume next year, don't you?

The scene was fun to do, I cut up some cardstock to make it look like grass and used the stamp set Toxic Treats and Wicked Cool to add some fun on the back of the card. A circle punch with a smaller circle punch out of it makes a funky moon.

What fun, I had one of Granny's doilies she made in black to set it on.

Stamp Set: Toxic Treats, Wicked Cool

Paper: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Whisper White, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, So Saffron

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Crumb Cake, Real Red and Basic Black Marker

Misc: White gel pen, Tasteful Trim Die, Owl Builder punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Extra Large Oval punch, 1 1/4" circle scallop punch

Well I better sign off this has turned into a long post, but fun. Thanks again Val.

Have a very Sppoky Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
