No Hurry

This 'n' That

27 Jun

Ok so this song reminds me a little bit like one of the themes for one of our Stampin' Up! conventions, just the beggining part…but OMG! I can listen to this song over and over again, and the lyrics are amazing, but when the song gets to this one part with the fiddle, at like 2:00, I become a blubbering idiot. I can't tell you why, it gives me shivers. Poppa played the fiddle, I used to and he would play by ear (he couldn't read music) and follow along with me as I practiced my lessons.  I have his fiddle and hope to some day pick it back up and take lessons again but the thought of anyone touching it to tune it and breaking it has fear in my heart so it stays in it's case.  But anyway, check out this amazing video and let me know what you think around the 2:00 part… the notes are eerily beautiful.

OK so in case you are an old sap like me and No Hurry got you blubbering, here is their new one that will have you toe tappin'.  It reminds me of my favorite band Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand.

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

Great song! I've not seen the video until now, so I'm really glad you posted it!

The fiddle music is awesome… it does have an eerie sound to it, but it's wonderful!

Oh oh oh… loved the toe-tapping one too!! Loved that the words were "written" into the video. What a GREAT idea!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
