When it's 120 degrees out…ok maybe not that hot, but man this summer is gonna be bad, it has been so hot the last few days, we really need some rain. I meant to do this card Sunday night to post for Monday but I was enjoying listening to Jeff and his army buddies tell stories. So I did it today instead, trying to think of cold snow.

This is not a new set but it is a new to me set (or actually newly mounted set), I had ordered it a while back and never mounted it cause I wanted to make sure it didn't retire so I was happy that it didn't and then when I saw this cute card in the new catalog I just had to do it.

001 copy
Stamp Set: Polar Party

Paper: Baja Breeze, Shimmery White

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Sahara Sand, White craft pad, Basic Gray, Old Olive, Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze

Misc: Aqua Painter, Adorning Accents Edgelits Die, Adorning Textured Impressions embossing folder

Isn't it cute? I love the use of the adorning accents as snow.  The original card was Whisper White cardstock, but I find that the Shimmery White is a little more forgiving for watercoloring. Plus snow should sparkle right?

OMG, so last night when I let Toby out to go potty before we went to bed, there was a little snake on the back porch, probably about 12 inches or so and skinny, so I scooped Toby up quick before he saw it and threw him back in the house and then I (the snake killer) went back out…I hate snakes, but I could tell it was not a rattle snake and it was a baby, and after losing Gertie, I will be darned if anything happens to Toby, so I was like trying to look at the snake with one eye and use my other eye to see where the danged shovel was. Of course it was at the other end of the porch, so I walked slow and the snake slithered off the porch (it was more scared of me and not aggresive…or I'd have peed down my leg and ran back in the house) and behind the pillar so I got the shovel and then went back to the pillar, and heck I couldn't see it, and it blended well with the stones and I am thinking, where is the mother? (Oh ha! Just re-reading this before I post, and that does not sound right. I mean where is the snake's mother, not calling the snake a mother…ha!)  So then I touched the shovel on the rocks and it started to quickly slither away, so then I chased it stabbing at the rocks trying to cut it in half and I never could catch it. It went to the dark spot of the yard and I had had enough. So Jeff said it was probably a good snake…it will keep bad ones away, but I don't want them on the porch or in the back yard fenced area. That is Toby's domain.  So after I had the heebee jeebees, I went to bed, and only dreamt a little bit of snakes…

So today I didn't see anything, but I know now to keep an eye out. It is one of the pleasures of living in the desert I guess. House for sale…ha! Just kidding.

Well this old gal is off to bed, I lifted some heavy stuff the other day, and my right hip is bugging me a bit, so ben gay to the rescue…ha! Wish me luck…I gotta take Toby out…shivers…

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

I LOVE reading and seeing all the critters that surround you in AZ and have a desire to live in a place like that but NO snakes! Gives me the heebee jeebees just to read about it! I so want to put my arms around Toby! PS: I'll be CASEing your great cards too!

I have 2 yorkies, one 7 pounds and one 4 pounds.Well I let them out in our backyard the other day and the next thing I knew the bigger one (Murphy) came running from around the shed with a BIG black snake in his mouth. I was screaming and Murphy was just a shakin the tar out of that thing and my little yorkie (Bailey) was tryin to help. Well, as soon as I started screamin Murphy let go of the snake and he and Bailey came running in the house. Well, I had to put on my big girl pants and go see what happened to the snake. Well Murphy had tore the middle of that snake pretty good so I didn't worry about that snake. Murphy was SO proud of himself. But now they do not go into our fenced in yard by themselves. Mamma (me) goes with.
OBTW I LOVE your card. Very nice.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
