Melissa and I finally got to go see Dark Shadows, I mean any longer and it would be at the dollar theater. I wanted to run to the jewelry store and have my wedding ring cleaned and shined up before hand, wow I can't get over how it looks brand new and I don't know why I wait so long between cleanings. While I was there I thought I would look at a new wedding band for Jeff, we got a plain white gold one not long ago to match my ring. When we got married our original rings were yellow gold. The one we got him is so thin and almost sinks into his finger, so I wanted something a little thicker, I mean gotta let all those women know he's taken right? So the sales lady who was sweet as could be told me so much stuff, she was oodles of information, so I finally settled on a titanium ring with carbide in the center, and it looks way cool on his finger…what do you think?
I told him if he wants to wear his other one to work (he says he doesn't want to catch it on anything, since it is thicker) then he can.
So back to the movie, it was so good. There was a girl in front of me that texted on her phone a few times during the movie (the light is bright in there), and I was like hmm…do I say something? do I kick the back of her chair? but then I thought maybe she was a doctor and she was saving someones life by texting instructions on the phone.
Have you seen Dark Shadows? It was neat seeing Christopher Lee playing a part since he has been in Dracula movies years ago. I was like at one point the girl is kissing Barnabus, him all white, fangy, ugly bloody fingers and she is fine…yet when he starts to catch fire when the sun hits him, she is scared and walks away…ha! It was good though, Mel and I both love Johnny Depp…yum!
I whipped up a quick card when I got home, I had a headache when I got home, could it have been the licorice, the turtles, the m&m's, the half a scor candy bar, the popcorn..oh yeah and the Castle baby hamburger? At least I was good and drank water…ha!
So since my maiden name is Fox, Mum is the only Fox girl left, all us girls are married…this card is for her. I love you Mum.
Paper: Whisper White, watercolor paper, Be of Good Cheer DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Misc: Finishing Touches Edgelits
Tip: Did you know to shade red use a brown color? So I took the crumb cake and added a bit on top of the cherry cobbler after it dried, and it makes it a bit darker. If you pull the color from the lid of your crumb cake pad with your aqua painter or blender you will add a little bit of cherry cobbler when you go back and forth to the pad, just make sure to wipe out the lid with a baby wipe or moist paper towel before you close the pad, then you won't contaminate the crumb cake pad.
My pillow is calling me…off I go.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
