tweet…

I had a semi relaxed day today, I met my sweet friend Shannon (hey honey!) for pedicures and then I also got my nails done.  I am trying to not use my arm too much, but I don't sit still very well and just do nothing.  I have been using my laptop at a different spot to try to keep my arms in the right position for typing, but then it runs out of juice and I have to put it back and plug it in and my arm screams when I use it over there.  I need to schedule a theraputic massage I think and see if that doesn't help.  I swear the Naproxen pills the Doc perscribed are doing nothing.

After my mani/pedi I met Jeff to get some new shorts for him, he is so funny, he is like "I need three pairs, and that's it and were outta there".  We did eat supper first so it was nice kinda being on a date, Eric went to a movie with his friend Mike so we didn't have to worry about him.

I worked on my online thank you cards for June, and this is it. I love love love this set. What do you think? There is still one more day to place an order through my online store to get one of these in the mail.

Too fun.

So Alice is acting funny now.  Very sluggish, and I am hoping she is ok, it has been so hot lately, and I give them their blocks of ice each day but still.  Jeff is going to stop at Home Depot on the way home from work and get a big outside fan to hopefully help.  I talked to my friend Anna Wight (Sweet Miss Daisy) and she is my go-to person for chicken questions, and she said we are doing all we can, and that some chickens only live 2-3 years, and they are a bit over 2 years old now…so I have my fingers crossed she will be better tomorrow.  Gertie and Alice are the black ones so not sure if that is worse.  I need to look up moulting cause Alice is losing feathers on her breast so maybe it is all connected. If only they could talk.

Well I better get off here before my battery wears out.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

Completely NON card related, although I do love your card cuz it's so cheery but do the girls have a mister set up around their pen? I wonder if that would help, too….

    Hi Di,
I just LOVE your blog. You have the perfect blend of beautiful and inspiring cards and interesting narration. I have loved hearing about your chickens and while I don't know the first thing about them in particular I thought maybe you could look up "brood patch" and see if that's what's going on with Alice. I have no idea, but it could be a perfectly normal explanation for her losing those feathers.
Keep up the great work, Di!

Michelle, I looked it up and I think that is it. She just wants to sit up in the egg laying place. But we don't have a rooster, so she is sitting for nothing. Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
