Flip Flop

This 'n' That

20 Mar

Seems the weather is colder in Arizona than it is in Ontario Canada…ha! I'm sitting here with a sweater on. Brrrr…

I had my last round of Nature Walk class today, will show the last card they did tomorrow cause I wanted to share my fun cookie making I did last night. The girls at class said they tasted really good too, and looked cute with the little rabbit on them. I met three new stampers today too, what fun!  Thanks Karen for introducing me to your friends.

I used this set of Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps, you get the wooden handle and the three designs shown, it's item #127081 and its only $16.95, such a cute stocking stuffer (for you early Christmas shoppers), shower gift, or just to have in your kitchen.

I got all my ingredients ready.  I doubled the recipe, I made the Sugared Shortbread recipe that comes with the cookie press stamps.  I love my new mixer I got for Christmas, I feel like a pro and whipped everything up in a snap.

All mixed up and it tasted good raw too.  There were no eggs in it, so I felt ok trying it out.

Rolled into balls and then rolled into sugar, now ready to be pressed. My poor cookie sheet looks like it has seen some better days eh?

I think I squealed when I did it…it was so easy and so cute.  It doesn't take much pressure at all.  Now to cook em…and eat em.

Yummy!!!

So after class today I got a bug up my butt….ok not really, but I have been wanting to organize my pantry like forever, and with my Mum coming to visit soon I thought I better do it now.  So I unloaded it and I had left over Certainly Celery paint from painting my studio, so that is what I used.

At first I was going to just paint the shelf and then I asked Jeff and we both agreed doing it all would be better, and it looks so cool.  I just hope it is all the way dry tomorrow so I can put stuff back, I have all the pantry stuff over ever surface in the kitchen.  In fact Jeff had to go get burgers for supper cause there was no cooking going on…plus I was still painting. I am not the best painter I kept thinking I better not quit my day job…ha!

Well this frozen girl is going to put on her flannel jammies, some nice thick socks and throw an extra blanket on the bed….I'm a little scared to turn on the heater, it's all fixed, but still.

Have an awesome Tuesday I hope it's warmer tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in to see me every day.

We actually have the AC on on the side of the house with our bedroom. It gets up to 82-85 during the day. Since I have to sleep during the hottest part of the day (darn that night job) the AC has to be on for me. I love how the cookies turned out. They look absolutely yummy. Your cabinet is so cute too. Great job and I am sure you will smile every time you open your cabinet to get something out.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
