12 Gauge Wire Bending Tutorial

3-D Items· Tutorials/Tips

8 Mar

The other day I showed you this tutorial for the Embossed Aluminum Flashing Stakes and a lot of you asked how the stakes themselves were made…so here it is…I wanna apologize right now for the odd camera angles…and that crazy laugh at the end. Thanks to my hubby for being so sweet!

Oops I forgot to put a picture of the nails in the wood.

This is such an ingenious idea and you and your hubby are so sweet to do this and demonstrate how to do it (and you're very smart too to come up with the nail pattern for the coils). I have used the flashing with a cuttlebug folder that looks like the metal toolbox in a truck for a background on a "male" card but I would not thought about the little signs like this!

Thank you so much for doing this video! I was really wanting to make some stakes & didn't know how to bend the wire to get consistent results. Thank Jeff for me, too, cuz I know how weird it feels to get videoed.

Great video! Hubby makes it look so easy, and he's such a good sport to let you video him. TFS, Jean ~

Thank you so very much for continuing to show samples and "how to" instructions and videos of your fantastic and creative projects. I can't even express how much it is appreciated.

Oh Diana, that was so fun! I'm glad you didn't take out the laugh. :0) It's so nice of your hubby to do the video! Now let's see Toby doing some stamping. hehe
Thanks for having one of the best blogs out there!

Thanks for the video! I'm planning on doing this at our club this coming Friday night and the job of preparing the stakes is on my "Honey do" list. This will help my honey do his job. 🙂

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
