Today was an emotional day.

Fun cause I had class this morning and it was great to see everyone.

Then my Dad Dodds called and said he is getting a pacemaker put in this week so that has me worried a bit, he is not worried and the girls at class said it is an outpatient surgery, that just baffles my mind.

I have been getting such great comments and emails about my worrying about if I did anything wrong to make people unsubscribe, some made me laugh, most made me feel good, a couple even made me cry. You are all the very best.

Then my Mum emailed me and told me about a little incident with Granny that had me worried, so I was on the phone with her for a while, and it makes me realize Granny won't be here forever, and I don't want to accept that.  I know that I should not be so selfish cause I am sure Poppa who has been waiting for her for 14 years would like to see her again as I am sure she wants to see him too, but it is hard to imagine her not being here. Even though I live in Arizona and she is all the way in Canada, I still know she is there ya know?

Ok enough of this talk, I gotta dry my eyes and get back to cutting paper, (I had the movie Titanic on…yeah that helped…not!) but I wanted to show you the cute card I did for Mimeograph Monday, it is from the big catalog on page 157. It used a set called Little Additions and I didn't have that so I replaced the hearts with the butterfly from Elementary Elegance (free with a $50.00 order), it also had real stitching on it but I just used my white gel pen and added fake ones and it still looks cute.

Stamp Set: Elementary Elegance, Pursuit of Happiness

Paper: Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler Textured

Ink: Early Espresso, Peach Parfait

Misc: Pearl Basic Jewels, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Flower Folds Bigz Die, White gel pen

I better get off here, Jeff has a Doc appointment tomorrow (one of those fun procedures you have to have done as you get older) and I need to go with him cause he will be in twilight sleep, so that has me worried too, you just never know. I keep saying MAMMa's saying "don't waste a worry" over and over.

So think happy thoughts and have a great Monday and thanks for stopping in.

Di, I hope your DH and your dad do great on their procedures. It is amazing what they can do as an outpatient now.

My DH has been sick for over a week now. He went to the doctor Friday, and was diagnosed w/a severe sinus infection. She put him on a Z pack and pain meds, but he is not any better. His entire head is sore, and it hurts for him to turn it. I am taking him back to the doctor today asap. I am so worried about him, but I do not want him to know that.

    Have a great day!

That card is awesome! I have never noticed it in the catalog and now I need to go take a look!

I don't intend to unsubscribe from your blog! But if you do have people do that, try not to take it personally. I recently had to unsubscribe from a few blogs because I was getting overwhelmed by how many were on my reader. All of them were perfectly lovely (well except for the one that blared music when I accidently clicked over from my reader) but most of them were just not my style anymore. I'm pretty clean and simple and most that I unsubscribed from were very intricate stampers. Just a matter of what suits me right now!

All the best with your family too!

Well, I had to go back and read some of those comments. You are loved, Girl!!! I just made a card and used those itty bitty flowers in the middle. My six year-old saw yours and said that it looked like mine. I uploaded it to my blog yesterday : )

PS – My cousin invited her mom to dinner last night and she requested macaroni salad. Of course, she made it for her, LOL!

This is a cute card, Di. I am sending hugs and prayers for all the emotional ups and downs you are going thru! Hope everything goes well with Jeff today. If you ever get to East Tennessee and go to the Titanic exhibit we have in Pigeon Forge please give me a call because I would love to meet you! Please keep all the "this and that" stuff coming on your blog because I for one love it!!

I am thinking about you and everyone in your family that needs thoughts and prayers. It is so yech when you feel emotional or at least it is for me. At least the sun is out for the first time in a few days today. That will help a little for me. Let us know how everyone does.

Di, Sending prayers for you and your worries. MAMMa's advice is good, I'm going to try to instill that into my manta with the stuff going on in my life right now. We just have to put our worries into God's hands and let him manage them for us!

    Blessings!

Gets scary when we remember our loved ones are not yet immortal, huh? My Mam is just turned 82 and has some schtuff goin' on right now….worries the heck out of me…..and she says she kept Dad waitin' around for her, all their 59 married years, and he'd better get used to waitin' a few more, 'cos she's not ready to go anywhere yet….ha!
Prayers being said for you and yours, here in Merry Old England. 🙂

Diana, I sent you an email about my experience with my own pacemaker surgery. I hoped it helps a little. You and your fam will be in my prayers. Oh, I forgot to say, after receiving my pacemaker, I felt like I was breathing clean air. It's hard to explain, but maybe my blood was finally getting oxygen.

Diana, regarding "content no longer relevant," I can't imagine not seeing your email in my mailbox in the morning! It's the first thing I read. You do beautiful work, and it is not so over-the-top that I know I could never do it, and I love hearing about "your girls" and the everyday this & that you share with us, your readers. You don't have to change a thing for me girl! I'm stickin' with 'ya!

"Worry never solves tomorrow's problems, it only saps today of it's joy." This is one of my favorite quotes. That said it doesn't always do the job when I say it out loud!

Hope all goes well for Granny, Dad Dodds and Jeff. Will be watching your blog for the good news! We are so lucky to love so much and be loved that it hurts. Do you know what I mean?

    Diana,
I just read your blog from yesterday and today, and although I do not believe I am a subscriber, for the last 2-3 years, your blog is the ONLY one I read religiously.
I mean every time I start up my computer (usually in the evenings after dinner and when I am relaxing) Google pops-up and I head straight to your blog, before checking my email. I have read your blog so much, that I feel I know you (your family, the "Girls", Figi, and your friends) personally.
Now although I cannot begin to make-up for those who unsubscribe, please know that you have friend in New Mexico (~3 miles South of Albuquerque), who you make smile and appreciate your hard work in keeping all of your blog followers entertained and excited about the world of Stampin-Up (not to mention the awesome deals and new products)!
For as much as it is worth, I often wonder how you can do so much in one day as you are always cutting, organizing, stamping, creating, and planning for the next big project/class/event and find myself driven to check to see if you made the deadline (and you do)!! 🙂
Well, I hope this comment has somewhat made your day, as so very often you have made mine. Take care, keep thinking positive thoughts, and keep up the SENSATIONAL WORK!!! We LOVE YOU!!

    Forever a Fan,
    DJ Lansdell

    Hi, Di
just FYI – I have never subscribed to a blog, but I'm probably one of your most frequent viewers 🙂 I LOVE taking a peek into your tidbits and especially what you've been stamping. My inbox gets way too jammed up, so I've minimized my emails but if I miss a day checking in, I'll be back the next day! Thanks for all you do and share! I, for one, appreciate it tremendously!

Hi Diana! I really enjoyed seeing you and your best friend at Leadership! You are my favorite SU blogger gal and I was full of joy to have met you briefly in real life! You keep on doing your blogging! I am so inspired and entertained by your creativity and transparency.( I was the very enthused girl with the glittery, turquoise nails that asked for a picture with you and your bestie!) May God continue blessing your family and your business 🙂

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
