This always makes me wonder, what did I do different on my blog that changed the relevancy so that someone unsubscribes? Not enough stamping? Was it my mentioning God the other day? Was it the chickens? Too much TV talk, or what? Cause I think I mostly keep my blog the same way, just like the title says: Stamping with Di & every day this 'n that. So I am sad when someone unsubscribes, I like the one that says "subscribing using another method"
I wish I knew more why people unsubscribe, but I know that I have unsubscribed from some blogs and they don't have the check box for what is the real reason. Oh well, I can't take it personal, and I promise I won't cry. Thanks for those of you that stick around.
Today was my first round of Apothecary Art class, and this is the third card they did. Cased from the oh so talented Kimberly Van Diepen (thanks Kimberly)

So while I was working on my shoe box swap for Rhonda's meeting I had this show on and I was thinking it was Everybody Loves Raymond, it had the brother on there, but he was married to this other girl and he was a teacher, so I thought oh this must be an early episode before he was a cop. Then I was wondering why isn't Raymond showing up? Then they kept calling him Mr. Stark, so then I thought gee Di use the info button on the remote and see what the heck you are watching. Seems it was not even that show it was one called "Till Death" it must have died quick on the tv cause I don't remember it at all.
So here's a question for you:
What is the stamp set that basically does not leave your desk, you use it so much you don't even bother to put it away?
Mine is Tiny Tags and then pretty much the Jewelry Tag punch is right there too.
Let me know, just for fun sake.
Well I better get back to making my swap.
Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.
Dear Di,
Your blog is the first one that I read each morning, love your chat and look forward to hearing what your girls are up to and seeing your beautiful creations. I have lost followers also, but it is their loss, you are great. Thanks and keep on.
Gorgeous card! What a tough question on the stamp sets! I have several favorites but to pick just one I would say lovely as a tree.
I think your blog is great! Just the right mix of stuff. There's a bajillion places to go to just see cards and stuff so in my opinion it's good to have a little mix. Maybe your "unsubscriber" was upset because your chickens are way cuter than theirs? Anyhow, lot's of us love you!
Good morning Di, My go to stamp is LOADS OF LOVE–I think that little truck is so cute for every season and masculine card I do!
I am perplexed by the A-Maze-ing….I can't seem to get it stamped just right, then how to glue it on top??? I'll be playing with that one today during all the pre Super Bowl hype….
Have a glorious day!
Rene'
Don't take it personally. No one knows what is going on in that person's life to have them change the subscription. They might be getting out of stamping? (I sure hope not!).
Your blog is awesome!!! Keep up with everything, you are doing such a fabulous job.
Cheers!
Hello Diana,
Liked your newsletter regarding people who unsubscribed. Myself, I need all the help I can get with great ideas from many sources! ๐ And in references to God, He is my Lord and Saviour and keep that coming, too!
I feel so blessed to even be able to subscribe to all of you artistic people and thankful that each of you take the time to post your newest creations.
Thanks so much and God bless you,
Linda in Ohio
Hi there! I saw your post this morning and just felt I really wanted to respond….:) I am not a blogger but a searcher for creative inspiration….I love to make cards but my own creative juices allow me to modify – case – but hardly ever – create from scratch. ๐ Doesnt mean I dont love to make my cards though! For me (so you may have one data point out there)…when I unsubscribe from someone – it is not personal – it is because as I sign up for more and more blogs…the amount of information to check daily becomes overwhelming… Add on Pinterest and twitter etc…. holy cow…I could be on the computer all day! That is not being creative or useful with time! ๐ I have to cut back on sites to look at to save me time so I can actually be able to create! ๐ Also, as I find blogs… I begin to really find "my style" which is exciting for us non creative folk! So since not every stamper out there has the same style (thank goodness – that would be blah!)…. I try to narrow down my sites to those that my creative personality connects too. I love your chickens and spirituality and creativity… thanks for you blog!! ๐
Di, I would never unsubscribe you…you're my fav. My favorite set is Teeny Tiny Wishes. I find that I use it a lot because there is a saying for every occasion.
Di, I love your blog, don't take it personally if someone leaves, they just have different taste in cards than you…I can't wait to read what funny thing you are doing or what the chickens are up to…please don't change your blog…..love it.
Diana, I like your blog and most of the "this 'n that." I knew what I was signing up for, so I'll stick around : ) When I see you at Convention this July I'll feel like you're one of my best friends and you'll be thinking, "Who is this lady???"
My current never put away stamp set is Friendly Phrases. Next to that one, I use Elements of Style and Lovely as a Tree a lot – along with the Tiny Tags, of course.
Do you sell some of your eggs? The three of you cannot possibly eat all of them, right?
My favorite set is Teeny Tiny Wishes. I actually use it so often that it's new home is on my studio countertop.
Please continue doing what your doing with your blog – Those that don't want to hear the "non-stamping stuff" can leave after viewing the pics or skim through till they find what they came looking for. Love all your "this n that" you share. I'm here for the long haul.
I don't often comment, but your comments on relevant content makes me want to. First of all, I LOVE your blog;-) You just gather all of us into your life like we're friends. I love your talk & pictures of the girls and I'm excited that Fiji is laying now;-)
Feedblitz just doesn't give any good reasons to unsubscribe so when I unsubscribe I just check "content no longer relevant". It's nothing personal to the blogger. Everyone's creative style is different and if I'm not "in sync" with a blogger after a few months, I'll unsubscribe. But you know what? I'm never going to unsubscribe from your blog because it's just so interesting;-) You blog to us as if you're our friend. So keep up the good work. BTW the cards you make with watercoloring on them are my favorite ones;-) Have a GREAT day out there in Arizona;-)
Love, love, love your card & all that wonderful detail…it's gorgeous!
As to why some people unsubscribe…maybe they want to get rid of the emails & use Google reader (I do that) or use a different way to get to your blog. Google reader keeps all my blog subscriptions in one place to read & if I want to go to that blog to see a video I just click on the it & it brings me right to that blog to watch, I LOVE Google reader, it saves me hours on the PC. That could be one reason, so I don't take it personally. I LOVE your blog & will never go away. Hugs to you kiddo!
Di, you are one of my favorite bloggers so I would never unsubscribe to you. I love all the day to day life events you post along w/your stamping! Makes for more interesting reading for sure. I relate to you so much even though we live so far apart.
I have another show to tell you about that my daughter got me hooked on while I was in VA visiting…it is on PBS and it is called Downton Abbey! It is wonderful and it is on the second season. I watched all the previous episodes w/my daughter. It comes on Sunday nights and I am in love w/it along w/Once Upon a Time…you might want to check it out…
Have a wonderful Sunday, my friend.
Although I love Tiny Tags [or any set with great versatile greetings], my fav would have to be Lovely as a Tree…..LOVE that set! btw, how could YOU possible NOT be relevant to a paper crafter???
Hi Di! My "must have set" is Teeny Tiny Wishes. I use it on just about everything I do! Thanks for all your inspiration!
I most certainly wouldn't take it personally. Maybe they quit stamping (WHAT????).
Good morning Diane. Just read your blog and a whack full of comments… all good!
So I won't repeat what has already been said.
I love the card you have just designed.
As for what stamp set never gets put away…
my dining room table is perpetually covered and "nothiing" gets put away!!!! LOL
Hi Di! I don't comment often but I do enjoy your blog posts not only for the cards but also for the recipes and the photos of your animals and for your style of chatting. In the past I have unsubscribed to a blog here and there but it was never because of the blog but rather because of me… perhaps my interests changed and the content of that blog was no longer relevant to me. Or perhaps I was subscribed to too many (think addiction) and needed to spend less time on the computer. One New Year's resolutipn I made was to try not to take things personally… because it really isn't about me and it is about the other person. Its hard. Perhaps the person who unsubscribed has decided to stop stamping for a while and therefore finds the content no longer relevant… who knows. I'm just thankful to have your blog to look forward to each day.
I know I don't post comments very often but I NEVER miss a post! I love your blog the way it is. :0) I love all the "this and that"! That's what makes your blog not just inspirational but FUN!!! And my little Yorkie Jasper wouldn't know what to do if I didn't keep him updated on Toby! LOL
BE YOURSELF…because that's what I love most about your blog!
Your faithful followers,
Shirley and Jasper(hehe)
Your content is ALWAYS relevant and I wouldn't miss it for even one day!!!! I look forward to it every day and wonder how you pull off so many beautiful samples. I know it is a huge commitment and offers so many great samples and ideas to me as a fellow demo.
Keep on keeping on!!!!!
I stumbled across your blog somehow and am so impressed and love all that you show! I can't imagine unsubscribing. I use your samples regularly for inspiration. ๐
I'm still here!! I love reading your blog, and I get so many great ideas.
Okay, so to answer your question: I make a point to put all my stamping supplies away after I use them because I have a corner of a multipurpose room for my crafting, rather than a dedicated space, so if I want little fingers to stay out of it, I have to do that! But I do keep a few things near to hand in the closet where I store everything. All my wood sentiment sets (Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sincere Salutations, Afterthoughts, Short and Sweet, etc.) are within easy reach.
Hi Di–just want you to know that I enjoy your blog–the updates on programs-your girls-recipes that you share etc. Most of all your creations–when I read your daily words I actually see you smiling and happy–so if someone left your site–its okay–at least you care enough to wonder why, but do not give it too much of your energy. You continue to do what you are doing. Have a great week. Raquel
Di, don't let those unsubscribers get to you! It's their loss! I enjoy your cards but mostly follow for the "this & that"! Love to check in every day to see what you're up to. You make me smile!
My favorite is Teeny Tiny Wishes. It can be used on any card anywhere.
I love your blog and look forward to it everyday. The way you post I feel as though we are sitting in your stamping room talking. Thanks for all you do.
I enjoy your blog and one of these day would like to take a class from you! For now I will just order products when I see something I like and just keep writing it makes it fun and interesting.
Hugs
Edee
Hi Di,
I can't imagine anyone unsubscribing to your blog!!! I love visiting it all the time.
As for the stamp set that never leaves my desk, it would have to be Teeny Tiny Wishes…I just can't part with that Stamp set!
Enjoy your Sunday! Hugs!
My blog sidebar states very clearly that I'm Christian, so anybody who drops by knows that I'm striving to live a Christian way of life….has never been a problem, as far as I know, so I'd discount that theory.
A previous comment mentioned having just too much "schtuff" to get through, every day….that would be my guess….she just doesn't have the time.
Either that, or she has no taste….haaaa!
Keep cluckin' with the rest of the chicks, Di….'swhat I love about ya!
Hi Diana, i just love your blog, and style. My favorite stamp set at the moment is Everything Eleanor, I just love its versatility. Did you know that the Tiny Tiny Tag punch fits right in the box with the wooden stamp set?
Don't let the "unsubscribers" get you down. They probably just don't find our love of stamps in their vocabulary any more. Their loss!! I wouldn't miss your posts for anything. I love your stories and all the fun that you have. Keep doing what you do, you have a lot of followers out here that love you!
Teeny Tiny Wishes is always within arms reach for me. Another favorite lately is Delightful Dozen.
Are we going to see you at the Phoenix Regional next weekend?
Hi Di, I rarely comment on any blog, but today I must. I started selling Stampin' Up about a year ago. That's when I started searching blog land for Stampin'Up inspiration. Somewhere along the line I came across your blog, and for whatever reason, I added your blog to the 30 – 40 blogs I enjoyed most every day. I recently realized that although I just love all the time I spent being inspired, I was not able to spend much time actually being creative. Besides, my family missed me. I work full time as a teacher as well, and my husband and I are raising out 12 year old mentally traumatized grandson. I had to eliminate most of my blog wandering. I "unsubscribed" to at least 30 blogs ;-(. I did keep them bookmarked so that I could go there when I have a couple of hours of downtime I want to spend on the computer though. Your blog; however, was one of the few I kept to visit every day, or at least every time you post. I enjoy your ramblings about your friendships, your travels, your chickens, your family, and especially your occasional mention of God – in addition to your paper creating inspiration with my favorite products. Even the fact that you have a hearing loss that you effectively deal with is just one more reason to stay tuned in. I don't know how in the world you have time to watch tv, but the fact that you do, and you seem to care about the characters, has endured me to you. I remember my grandmother talking like that about the shows she watched the last decade or so of her life. If the sad day ever comes when I "unsubscribe" to your blog, it won't have anything to do with you! You're inspiring and funny and I can tell that people and God are important to you. I'd keep you bookmarked though, so I could easily find you again.
God bless your day!
Deana in No. CA
The stamp set that never gets put away… all of them are put away. That is because they are just below my stamp table so all I have to do is open a drawer and there they are. Now that isn't to say that my stamp room is so clean…. haaaaa. I still have some Christmas boxes out. I did so good last year having them away by Jan 1… not this year. Sorry I have been MIA, work has been insane. When it is like that all I do is get up at 4 PM, eat, go to work, work doggone hard, drive home and dive in bed by 9 AM or 10 AM. Then I get up and do it again for about 2 more days. My days off I am just trying to recover. I am trying to catch up on the fun now.
Hugs and licks
Carey and Roscoe (Hi Toby and girls!!)
I love the comment by "Deana in No. CA". I too have unsubscribed from blogs (not from yours), but kept the blog book marked.
Keep your chin up! You have a lot going, not just your Stampin' UP! artistic work, but you're blogging is very intersted as well.
and btw, did I mention I LOVE chickens? hehe.. I really enjoy your photography.
((HUGS)) and God Bless you!
I love your blog just the way it is, thanks for sharing the way you do, don't change a thing! I can't speak for anyone else but I am unsubbing from some blogs right now, getting rid of an old "pay for" email address and updating to free gmail. Maybe others are doing the same.
I love reading your blog! I have it bookmarked and visit everyday! I admit, I don't subscribe to blogs, but have TONS bookmarked.
I love hearing about the chickens, dogs, classes, TV shows, silly injuries you get, and all your other ramblings that make you "you"! Keep in mind you have WAY more subscribed than those that leave. Stay the way your are! Entertaining, friendly (I just met you at Leadership in SanAntonio), and talented!
You're great just the way you are Di! Don't ever change. I would suspect it's mostly "subscribing a different way" – people don't think about their responses I would say. Hugs!
