Calendar Girls

Another busy day today, over at Rhonda's most of the day, a quick stop over at MAMMa's and then home around 9pm.

Speaking of MAMMa, I will show another page from my 2012 Desktop MDS calendar ok?

My Project 21-014

Isn't she so cute. I can't wait till my Mum gets here in April to see them meet each other for the first time and to get their pictures taken together.

OK, it's a quickie post.  Gotta get up early tomorrow, so am going to try to get to bed before midnight for a change.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.

Ice Fishing in Arizona?

I got quite a few emails today asking if I was serious, or if I was pulling your leg about the guys going ice fishing. Jeff said they went to Willow Springs.

Here's the proof:
Eric and his Billy Goat Gruff beard.

Our neighbor Jim using Jeff's new auger thing to cut holes in the ice. It was 18" thick.

Eric checking his fishing thing. (that would be a technical term...ha!)

What the fishing thing looks like.

So I think I told you they caught two fish. It might have been trout.  It had eyes and a tail when Jeff cooked it on the grill. The only fish I eat doesn't have either of those things by the time I see it...ha!

Oh when I uploaded the fishing pictures, these were on the camera from maybe a couple years ago from one of Jeff's hunting trips. He said it is from Aztec Peak.

Look at the cool lounge chair made out of rocks, it even has a place to rest your drink, popcorn and the remote.

It's like Fred & Wilma Flinstone's furniture...ha!

I worked on Spring Fling stuff today...but I can't show you anything yet.

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.

Lickety Split

023 copy

That's how quick this post will be.  Today I had stamp club and then Rhonda came over and we worked on finalizing our designs for Spring Fling, so it is...oh my gosh...after midnight already, so I'll show you the other card from club.

I saw this cute card by Emma at Devotion to the Dream, and loved it. Thanks Emma.

Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage, Petite Pairs

Paper: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Everyday Enchantment DSP

Ink: Basic Black, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake

Misc: Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, Circle punch, Scallop circle punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, White Gel Pen

So the day I was getting them ready was the day my neck was killing me and then I totally forgot to stamp the greeting on the circle before I assembled them, then it was too late. So the motto of a stamper is "there are no mistakes in stamping, only design changes" so the cards I finished for my long distance members were like this.

Just a little different, but still adorable.  I mean who doesn't love that jewelry tag and vintage trinket?

Ok, I gotta be gettin' to bed.  The guys went ice fishing today and they were whooped by the time they got home.

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

With All My Heart

003 copy

It's the friendships, it really is. I have met the most fun, loving, lifelong friends through being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  Tonight was another night to prove it.  A few weeks ago I stopped off at MAMMa (My Arizona Mum Marlene) house on the way to Rhonda's and I saw this card on her table, and my jaw dropped and I said what is that card? and she said it was for an upcoming class. So I immediately said I wanted to take the class. So tonight was the class and I got Melissa to go too, and we went to the Deli first, and we were not too bad with our diet, we did share the main course and the dessert so that is totally better than how I would eat before...we didn't share the French Onion Soup, we had our own bowl.  I didn't eat much all day so I think I did ok.

At class we saw an old Demonstrator from forever ago, Michelle, and also Sandy who I have not seen for a while and her friend Lisa.  So it was a fun class, and we all stamped and laughed and had a good time. Heck after class was over I think Mel, MAMMa and I stood outside and gabbed and laughed for another hour, it's a wonder the neighbors didn't come out and tell us to settle down.

Want me to stop gabbing and show you this gorgeous card of all time? Ok, sit it comes...

This is the front on view.

This is the side view.

004 copy
This is the closed view. It fits in a 5 x 5 envelope. I was supossed to put the ribbon on the outside of the Riding Red heart and I did it on the edge, so it is hard to see my silver heart, but still you get the idea.

Gorgeous eh?

Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Silver Glimmer Paper, Twitterpated DSP, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black

Misc: Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon, Sticky strip, Framelits Dies Hearts Collection, Pearls, White Taffeta ribbon, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch

As I was putting stuff away today I found these two candies that I was given at Leadership with the same name, but totally different.

006 copy
The top one is American "Smarties" sour candies, and the bottom is Canadian "Smarties" chocolate yummy-ness. Of course I am being good and am eating neither of them.  Eric can have them, he is younger and skinnier.

Tomorrow I have Stamp Club day, so this old girl has to hit the sheets so I can get up bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.

Real Steel

Sale a Bration 2012

It's Here & It's Awesome!

Well the old neck is a bit better today, not quite as bad when I turn my head so that is good.  I also weighed myself and I lost a pound so at least the scale is going in the right direction.

Heck I even was getting a little throat tickle and read the ingredients on the cough candy bag...ha!

I wanted to show you one of the cards for my Stamp Club girls this month, I cased and tweaked it from Leigha Rock.  Thanks Leigha!

005 copy
Here's a bunch of them for my out of state club members or the local girls that can't make stamp club day. If you want to join one of my Stamp Clubs just let me know, there's always room for more!

Stamp Set: French Foliage, You're a Gem, Winter Post

Paper: Early Espresso, Confetti White, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Real Red

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Misc: Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Sticky Strip, Color Spritzer Tool

What is funny is I got Winter Post to use on a Christmas card and then I didn't so I had to mount it before I could use it.

So Eric has to take a salad to work tomorrow for a potluck, so Mike (his HAB worker/friend) and him went to the grocery store with a salad recipe so he could make it, before he left he asked if I wanted him to pick up the movie "Real Steel".  He goes to lots of movies through out the year and this is the only one that I can remember him coming home and saying "it was soooo good!!" and he would not tell us anything about it cause he wanted us to see it.  So as soon as the credits rolled and old Dad and I wiped our eyes (whoulda thunk we would cry in a fighting robot movie?), he popped his head out of his room (cause heaven forbid he watches a movie with us) to see if we liked it. It was really good, and reminded me of those fighting robot toys kids have with a mixture of "Transformers" and "Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome" thrown in.

Don't forget Sale-a-Bration started on the 24th, with awesome free products and an amazing discount on the starter kit if you have ever thought about joining my team of's a "Real Steal" - I couldn't resist!!!

Well I better get me old (1 pound less) butt off the computer.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
