Well today was my last class for January. With Leadership right around the corner, and Spring Fling preparation I kept it not super busy. Speaking of Spring Fling, you are not going to want to miss it. Make sure to sign up for my email newsletter (in the left hand column) so you'll get the information. We already have a bunch of people signed up, I can't wait to see everyone.
Today's card was from my Button Buddies class, this card I got the layout from a card I got from Mary Fish (thanks Mary). I love this Sale-a-Bration DSP and the colors.
Stamp Set: Button Buddies, Oval All
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand, Jetblack Stazon
Misc: Oval punch, Scallop oval punch, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, paper piercer, mat pack, white gel pen, 1/2" circle punch, designer printed brads
So I made cookies tonight and emptied the cookie sheet from the first batch, then added the second batch and then like a dork totally forgot the cookie sheet was hot and grabbed it with my bare hand…ouch! I put ice on it right away and I hope it will be better tomorrow. At least it's my left hand and I am a rightie.
This old chick is off to bed. Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.
Beautiful card! I love those colors!
Hi Dianna:
First, I enjoy your creativity in your cards. Second, I enjoy seeing the pics of your chickens. Third, I use Emu oil on burns. It is fantastic. We raised emus so I have had experience. Apply it right away and the next day the pain is gone. I burned myself at work with boiling hot water. As soon as I got home, I put the Emu oil on. I kept using it until it was healed. Great stuff!
Oh my gosh — I've done the same thing – grabbed a hot cookie sheet! Burns really hurt! Hope your hand feels better very soon.
Hi Diana: I went out to do my chores and found all of my brand new giant breed egg layers dead. I am sick. I think a mink got in the barn and did them in. They kill for sport and are not interested in feasting. I will no longer use the barn for my chickens.
Say "hi" to yours for me.
