Today we had another rainy day…we live on a gravel road and we have some pot holes, I'll tell ya that much. How do I know? Cause I did some shopping today and I had to drive around them, I had some gift cards to use up, some Kohl's cash burning a hole in my pocket and some awesome discounts that I took advantage of.
I wanted to update the guest room bed…Jeff painted the room a year or so ago, and some day it needs new carpet, but the bed definitely needed a revamp, and Eric had his eye on the comforter, so shucks off I went and did it up so cute.
My friend Kim comes in a few days, my BFF Tracy comes in January, and OMG! my Mum comes in April, so that room is gonna be well loved. I even put the little table I bought a while back at the foot of the bed like I wanted and it looks cute even though I have not even fixed it up.
Wanna see?
I need to get a curtain for the window and maybe a couple accent pillows and maybe a blanket for the foot of the bed. What do you think? We put some of those risers dealies under the feet of the bed so it sits up higher and that makes it look cool. Such fun!
Kim and I are going to do some antique shopping one day she is here, so who knows what else I will find.
So I wanted to show you another card from the 10/10/20 Hybrid Christmas card class. This is the only card we stamped, the rest were just embellished…
Well this old gal is gonna hit the hay. Oh remember I mentioned Time & Again by Jack Finney, well when I went to bed last night about a few pages into my Stephen King book he used the words "time & again", and even put them in quotation marks and I thought that was cool and wondered if it was a tip of the hat to Finney. It made me smile when I saw it in there. I almost woke up Jeff to show him, but didn't think he would find it near as interesting as I did…ha!
Remember today is the last day on getting a special deal on signing up to become a Demonstrator, shoot me an email if you want to talk about it. The kit is $50.00 off and how does a free pack of DSP each month in 2012 (except January) sound?
Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
Di, my guest room is also my stamping space w/a desk, closet filled to the brim and all the drawers etc. filled w/SU stuff as well. I am having to clean it up and get stuff off the bed as my daughter and her family are arriving real soon for the holidays. Did I tell you I still have not put our tree up, but it will be done by this weekend for sure:)
Your guest bedroom looks so inviting and I am sure your friends will love it! I love the little table by the bed, it is adorable…
Fantastic card and room. I would be quite comfortable sleeping in that room. Have a great day.
Carey and Roscoe (the swap eating dog)
Love the room and the card Di !!!!
I mailed your card on Monday so hopefully it arrives before Christmas and in tact!!
