You know… like a Van Gough or a Rembrandt…So tonight was Rhonda's Secret Santa & Valentines or Friendship card swap and dinner. I think we should have the meetings each time at Keegan's but that is just my belly talking…ha!
One of my favorite uber talented stampers is Renee Van Stralen (hey sweetie!) and I have wanted to copy this card forever.
So my card did not stray too far from Renee's, why change perfection.
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Jetblack Stazon
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Designers Paper Stacks, First Edition Specialty
Misc: Black Satin, Lace Ribbon Border punch, Eyelet Border punch
MAMMa and I took our hubby's…so Daddy Vinnie and Jeff sat at their own table, close enough they could keep tabs on us, but anyone coming in would not know they were part of our "gang". Ha!
After we ate our yummy supper, we did the Secret Santa exchange. This is three cards that have not been in a swap before and then you package it up. It is where you can steal a gift after someone opens it, so we all drew numbers to see who goes first, mine was number 7. So people started picking off the table, opening up their package, then Kathya picked my package, then MAMMa was right after her and she stole my package from Kathya, then Kathya got to pick again, then finally it was my turn and I stole MAMMa's cards from Kitty, and then a few more times that danged Elizabeth stole MAMMa's from me. A gift can only be stolen two times. It was fun, so I took a cute package off the table and it ended up being Kathya's and it is adorable cards and a holder, that I will definitely be doing in a class. What fun!
Then we headed home as the hubby's have to get up to go to work in the morning.
All in all it was a great day!
Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.
