Thumping

This 'n' That

12 Nov

007 copy

Well now that I look better I think it's sponge daubering.  But you could do it by thumping too.  Are you thinking what the heck is she talking about?  Well thumping is where you ink up a stamp and then you take markers in another color, or two and then you just tap, or thump the brush tip side of the marker on the inked up image and then it adds colors here and there, and then you stamp it.  But this one actually looks like it was inked up in Baja Breeze, and then maybe Crumb Cake was sponged over top of it in areas and then stamped.

I love it anyway.  This was a card I got in a swap from Joyce Feraco.  Thanks Joyce!

I love the snowflake embellished with the pearl and the little square scallop punch shape under the main image, and it uses the delicious Spice Cake (Fat Free) DSP…too cute.

Oh and just so you know the Spice Cake Stationary Box I showed the other day.  I went back and added the PDF instructions to the post.

Tonight we met some dear friends from Illinois for dinner, they surprised me today by showing up at the house and I said let's meet for supper so the guys could see them too.  We ate at an awesome restaurant in Apache Junction called Dirt Water Springs and boy I want to go back, the place was packed so I am glad I called ahead for reservations.  It was a nice visit with them, laughing and even shedding an odd tear here and there when we talked about loved ones that have passed on, way too soon. Life sure is short, so hug the ones you love.

Well that being said, this old girl is heading to bed, I gotta get up early for class in the morning.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
