Today I worked on my thank you cards for October on-line orders. I wanted to case the awesome pleated card that Jill made me, and I changed it just a little bit. I turned it into a birthday card so that anyone that gets it can re-use it if they want.
Added since original post: I had the scoring measurements on my other post, but here they are again in better detail of what I did for this card. I scored a whole sheet of 12×12 DSP because I had a bunch of cards to make. After I got the sheet scored then I cut it into 1 1/2" strips, you will need the full 12" for this size card. Then you can do your pleating. The scoring measurements are: 3/4", 1", 1 3/4", 2", 2 3/4", 3" and so on till you do the whole strip. Make sure to keep the DSP tucked in the corner and up along the edge of the Simply Scored. As you score the DSP will curl a bit and might want to move a bit, so just keep an eye on it. I would practice with a small piece first before you do the big long one. When you glue your pleated DSP to the card, add a bit of snail to the "lower" pleats that touches the cherry cobbler cardstock, the "upper" pleats are loose. I hope that makes sense.
I also put everyone who placed an online order in October name in a hat and picked the winners of the Free Stamp Sets. I picked Kristie's name first and she picked Love & Care. I picked Barbara's name second and she gets Apple Blossoms.
This months Free Stamp Set is Button Buddies, plus an assorted package of buttons!
For every $30.00 (before tax and shipping) you order in my on-line store for the month of November, you will earn one ticket. Order $60.00 (before tax and shipping) and earn two tickets…and so on and so on. Sorry, but club orders, and workshop orders do not apply.
Ooh, Diana, I love the pleats! Will you be sharing the scoring directions? Pretty please?
