I think I need to make a note on my calendar that once a month I need to take everything off my red shelf and purge and straighten and update.
Today I did that and it looks adorable. I added Halloween stuff, and makes me realize I need to make some more displays. I also want to update my window with Halloween paper and put up cards on there too. Gosh I better do it before I need to change it for Christmas, maybe I should make some of them fall then I can leave them up through November…ha!
Here it is, I love my red shelf, maybe I should call it hutch or something, cause it is more than a shelf. It's not a cabinet cause there are are no doors.
I need to go through my swaps still and sort them.
Remember these little Top Note Chums from last year, it was fun pulling them out of my Halloween box.
Here's some fun Halloween decorations.
Look at my cute little Stampin' Up! Build a Bear, I like to find her different glasses, or hats. This mask was perfect, I hardly recognize her.
Most of these are swaps I got at Founder's Circle as well as my team swap.
Yesterday I played with writing my post through my word program and then it posts it and it was fine except for the pictures were huge so I have to figure that out, if I need to size them differently when I add my water mark or if I can size them after the watermark is there while I am in word typing it up. I'll just keep doing it within my Typepad account till I figure it out.
I wanted to show you the thank you card I made for online orders for September.
It's based on one of the months from my Birthday calendar class, I just love these colors together.
Stamp Set: French Foliage, Thank you Kindly
Ink: Pool Party, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Basic Black
Misc: Basic Black marker, Color Spritzer Tool
So today I had to run to the bank, seems one of the newer bank people was trying to get me to change my bank account and I didn't really need to, he had even set me up an account and I got a debit card and everything, and it was all wrong. So I went in to my friend Sandy, she is a great personal banker at my bank and she straightened it all out. Thanks Sandy, you are the best. So while I was there I asked about switching our safe deposit box to this branch cause where it is now is way into Mesa where we used to live. So we got us a new box, and then I just need to go get the stuff from the other one and transfer it…sounds simple don't it? Well seems not only have I misplaced one safe deposit key, I have misplaced both of them. I remember a while back that it was on my key ring and it is such a weird key that the teeth got hooked on my ring, so I took it off my ring…but where the heck is it? We have looked in every dang drawer.
I did find these:
Keys of all makes and sizes, some I have no idea what they are for…but no safe deposit key.
I also found these:
Buttons, this size and that size, this color and that color, and they were all in these little ziplocks in my make up drawer…these are the little buttons you get when you buy clothes, and they know they don't sew the buttons on worth a hoot so they give you one or two extra so when you lose a button you have an extra…oh and some even had thread with them.
So I will continue to look for the keys. Sandy said (when I thought I knew where one was – I forgot we got two of them) that there would be a fee if I don't return them both…but I don't know what it will be if I can't find even one…she said something about drilling…yikes!!!
Well I better sign off for tonight.
Have an awesome Friday and thanks so much for stopping in each day.
Yep….that little fascinator would have looked great on your bear!!! Safety deposit box – holy – is that were all the jewels are hiding!
Luv ya
Jax
Oh dear, hope you find your keys. I can never find anything that I put away in a safe spot!!!
Love your shelves! Reminds me of the display case at Kanab.
Wish I could come over and stare at all the fun things on your shelf. I love our Halloween paper from two years ago and see some things on your shelf with that!!
Hi Di, I'm a new subscriber to your site because I just saw your video on YouTube re making the adorable "canopy" card (or "awning" card). I know you used the SU Word Window Punch. Can you please give me the exact dimensions of the punched piece as it is not listed in the SU online site.
Thanks, and loving your blog! –Linda
Hi Linda,
I am glad you found me, the word window punch is 1 3/4" long and 3/8" wide.
Hugs,
Di
