Rainbow of Colors

This 'n' That

26 Oct

015 copy

I thought I would try some different colors and add another layer from the card I posted the other day. This one was neat with Pool Party and Concord Crush (I love these colors together).

014 copy
Stamp Set: Field Flowers, Hello Doily

Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party

Ink: Pool Party, Concord Crush

Misc: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder

Then I thought what if I do the stem a different color?

017 copy
So I pulled out Lucky Limeade and switched the flowers to Island Indigo, I love this color combination too.

016 copy

Stamp Set: Field Flowers, Hello Doily

Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party

Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade

Misc: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder

This is just such a fun and easy layout and I love love love the Hello Doily, you can put that behind anything.

When we had Eric's IEP last week his support coordinator suggested we get him speech therapy again, it will help him at work and everywhere, we just usually figure out what he is saying cause we know him.  He had speech therapy years ago but then could never find anyone that would come out here, and didn't have any luck with the people that were doing it, they would not show up and were unreliable, so it just stopped. We needed to get a Prescription for it so Eric had a Doc appointment after work.  The Doctor kept us waiting almost an hour after his appointment time and Eric is not a person who likes to wait, but once the Doctor got in there he was all smiles, so that is good.  The Doctor wants Eric to see a audiologist, although I think his hearing is fine, in fact I will talk to Jeff in the other room and Eric will hear and say stuff about what we are saying.  So it should be interesting for his hearing test, as he can not answer words properly.  When he was little they put him in the glass cube and things moved around and then he would turn in that direction, I just don't know how accurate the test will be. The Doc said it would take him a week to write up the RX. I guess they are different then for medicine. Can you imagine if that is how medicine RX's were.  "You have strep, I'll write you a RX in a week".

Don't forget you only have till October 31 to have a chance at a free stamp set. This is something I am doing only and not Stampin' Up!

Well I better head to bed.  Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

I think I like the Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade one the best. Concord Crush is a color that has never grown on me. Probably that is why there are 60 colors for us to choose from since not every color appeals to everyone. The doc keping you waiting an hour is outrageous. I have said to docs before that my time is worth quite a bit of $$ too. I have even asked for my co-pay back for being kept for over an hour. Have a great Wednesday.

Best of luck for everything with Eric's appointments. My little girl had to do the glass box thing too at the Audiologists when she was little. You are doing the right thing. He is precious, like his mama!

I like both color combos. My one thing I have to complain about, you didn't show off enough of the vintage wallpaper embossing. Picky, picky, picky! Tell me to go soak my head.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
