What fun today was. I had my Simply Scored Scoring Tool (SSST) class in the morning and then I met my sweet girlfriend Rhonda (love ya Rhon!) for a movie and dinner, we have not seen each other in like forever it seems like. We wanted to go see The Help, we had both read the book, but it has been out a while now and was a little hard finding it in the theater, we usually go to Harkins and it stopped showing it last week, so we ended up at AMC as the theater is bigger and they show movies longer, so there were probably maybe 20 or so people in the theater.
It was so good, they did the book proud, I will however be using the subtitles when I get it for home. I was a little worried at the beginning when the girl was asking questions off camera and I was like, oh no if the whole movie is like that I am not going to do good, cause I can't hear if I can't read lips. I knew the story so that helped but I did miss some of it. Even a few places Rhonda shook her head cause she didn't catch it either.
It was a good day and I can't wait for tomorrow, my adorable Canadian Demonstrator friend Lynsay Mahon is in town and we are going to go to lunch, she always comes to see me when she is in AZ and I love her for it. So I feel special getting to share some time with my friends. The rest of the week is nuts, so tomorrow will be nice.
I wanted to show you the cutest card I got from one of my downline Jill Parker (thanks Jill, I love it!), she had promoted and earned an incentive that I offered and she sent me a thank you note for her goodies, and look at the awesome card she did.
She used my favorite DSP, Beau Chateau and she used her new SSST to make the "pleats" I think they would be called.
You score at 3/4" and then 1/4" more, then another 3/4" and 1/4" more, and so on and so on, then fold it up like pleats.
Here is a different angle. Isn't that so cool. I am definitely making more…perhaps I should do this fold for my October on-line order thank you cards? What do you think?
When ordering, don't forget about my Country Dozen Rewards, and if you have a big wish list or have thought about becoming a Demonstrator don't forget about the Free Big Shot.
Well this old, class teaching, movie going, food eating woman is headed to bed.
Oops, I just now realized when I was setting my blog to post that today is Sunday which means tomorrow is Monday and that should mean Mimeograph Monday, looks like I'm skipping a week…sorry!
Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.
Captioning is the best!!! I always notice so much I missed when I use it ( which is always) . Even now that I have my " ears" I still read lips and if a person is turned I still miss some of it. I want to read this book before I watch the movie . I heard it was super good!!
I'm looking at this a day late but that's OK, I still love it. I haven't seen the movie The Help but I did read the book. I didn't want to put it down I enjoyed it so much. Thanks for the fun.
Carey and Roscoe (who is outside enjoying the great sun shine since it is going to rain tomorrow)
Wow…this is just fabulous! Love the pleats and your stamp choice.
