Today was a fun day, I got all my thank you cards done for my September online orders, I'll show you them another day. Jeff also had the day off, so he ran some errands in the morning while I worked and then he took me to lunch, to The Deli (of course eh?) it was so yummy they had the steak sandwich, they don't always have it. Chiabatta bread, steak, cheese and a jus to dip it in. I only ate half to I can half the rest tomorrow, unless I get up in the morning and Jeff has taken it to work for his lunch.
Then it was back home to work and then tonight I made bruschettia for supper, we were stuffed from lunch so that was a weird supper but so yummy.
Here is another card that I did for my workshop last week. I cased and tweaked a card I got from Kate Creasey (thanks Kate!)
It's a neat fold as this little flap with the flowers punched and glued on folds over the front.
Here you can see it with the flap open.
and then what it looks like closed.
The card starts out as a 9 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock then you will score it on the 9 1/2" side at 4 and 2/8" and then 8 6/8" gosh I hope that is right I measure in dits, so they are the two little lines that I think are 8ths. Please try it on scrap paper first.
Added since original…(somehow when I wrote the post I was looking at a ruler instead of my Simply Scored so who knows what I was thinking…I was not drinking either – ha!) Thanks Jenn for this: i tried the measurements, as 4 2/8 is really 4 1/4 (we Americans give the rest of the world fits because we won't just do metric!) and 6 6/8 is the same as 6 3/4. so, here's what i think you meant: 4 1/8 (which gives you a front panel that is 4" x 5.5") and 8", which gives you a flap that's 1.5" wide. thanks for sharing still. it's a cute little addition that makes for a unique look.

Fabulous Card! So fresh! Thanks for sharing:)
Oh, I will definately be Re-CASEing this card for one of my workshops!!!
Thanks Di, for posting everyday, even when it is obvious you are running short on time and energy, I can always count on my daily dose of "Di"!! You are such an inspiration, keep up the great work!
This card is beautiful. I have a Fiskars cutter with a blade that perforates instead of cuts. Wouldn't it be great to use that instead of the shorter score so that it could be torn off and used as a bookmark.
Beautiful Card, Di! I can tell you are a great friend to people. Gosh I go nuts when I hear about the Deli even at 8:30 in the morning , I want that sandwich! I am making a new homemade soup today. Check my blog on Sundays. I have started something called Simply Sunday where I share things other than crafts. Last week, well on Monday, some great recipes!
Where in Arizona do you live again? My nephew lives in Phoenix. If you are close, I should tell him about the Deli.
Have a great day. I love that your posts always have a personal touch to them. I am always down on school mornings, so your posts cheer me up!
I can't believe it has been Monday since I have had time to look at your blog. Sorry, but I am all caught up now. I love what you have done with the BD calendars. Your so funny with the dits. Anyway, have a bunch of great days if I don't get around for a few more days. Life is kind of hectic right now.

You are such an enabler! Now, I have to get Language of Friendship so I can CASE this gorgeous card. Sheesh! At least I have all the punches.
