Di’s Shorts – Glue Dot Etiquette

This 'n' That

9 Oct

I thought I would start a little series called Di's Shorts. Just some snippets of wisdom that I have come up with in all my years of stamping.

I will do them from time to time, I have a few taped and will post them now and then.

Here's the first one.

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

YES! YES! YES! Thank you Diana. I hate when they get put back in the box without their wrapper. One of my pet peeves!

Loved it! I really like the idea of "Di Shorts'. I know I am mostly a lurker but I wanted to let you know I NEVER miss a post. I just love your sense of humor, talented card designs, book, movie & TV reviews. My dog Jasper(Yorkie also) is jealous of Toby! hehe I keep Jasper shaved down and tell him "look at Toby the pretty Yorkie" and it is a hoot when he growls! You have such a fun blog. Even when you were having surgery! Thank you for all your hard work and effort to have such a wonderful blog. You are appreciated! Have a great week.:0)

Weeeelllll, I learned long ago that I hate the glue dots on the roll and have used the little individual ones for years. Great for workshops, too. I just send a sheet around and they tear off the little square. Cost a little more, but so much easier. I know, I know, SU doesn't make them that way. So sue me.

I didn't realize there is etiquette for glue dots!! Next thing you know you are going to tell me it isn't polite to pick my nose in public or something. Hee hee This is funny but oh so true.

Carey and Roscoe (who would thinks it would be catastrophic if uncovered glue dots got on him or Toby!!)

I love this video, Di. I go over this almost every time I have a workshop. Your visual may just help those who still haven't gotten the tip!!

Had to GIGGLE at your glued together things! I HATE that when that happens! When I worked at the airlines and had pretty nails like you do :), my nail glue would always explode in my bag. I'd go to grab something in my makeup bag and ALL my makeup items would be super glued together!! This is the "giggle of the day" for me. Thanks for sharing, Diana!

Good idea to start the Shorts – had to laugh when I saw your pens, etc. glued together – hey maybe we can do this with our retired SU things (or ones that don't work anymore) and have them hanging around our craft room lol Mary 🙂

LOVE IT! I think I may show your video BEFORE my next club. It's always soooooo special when my club members carefully put the naked glue dot roll back into the box. LOL Great video and I can't wait to see the net one!

I love your video. How I would love to show that to some of my customers. I have to watch them when we use the glue dots like a hawk!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
