Beau Chateau at the Gate

This 'n' That

13 Oct

005 copy

Today I did a bunch of paperwork, stuff I had put off and could not put it off anymore, I am glad it is done and need to do it monthly from now on instead of letting it pile up.  After I got it done I had a migraine from looking at all the small writing on the paper as well as my laptop.

So this will be a quick post, I wanted to show you the fun card the girls will be doing at the Simpy Scored Scoring Tool (SSST)class this weekend.

This is a style of gatefold.

001 copy
Here it is open, I used the Beau Chateau DSP as well as the matching Beau Notes. Such a fun combination.

002 copy
I cut the DSP so when the card is closed it matches up, I also lined the card on the inside with the chickenwire pattern and the dots pattern.

003 copy
Here it is from the top.  The cardstock is 12" x 5 1/2" and then I scored it at 2", 4", 8" and then 10" and then you fold it like the picture.

004 copy
I slid a cute little belly band on the front with some more of the dotted pattern and another Beau Note. Cute eh?  No stamping is involved with the card, the class is to teach things to do with the SSST so I kept the projects cute and easy.

008 copy
I put halloween paper in my window frame, now to get busy making decorations to fill it.  I did put up the tags/ornaments from yesterday's blog after I took the picture.  I also made a few more of them and will show you another day, they are so addicting.

I started a new book the other day, called The Hunger Games.  Have you read it? I am really enjoying it so far.

I'm gonna get to bed early so I can work on things to get my window frame decorated for class this weekend, although it looks cute with just the paper in it eh?

Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

OMG The Hunger Games – I read all three of them in like a week. They are awesome and really fast reads.
Let me know how you like them. I am on Book 4 – Lover Revealed in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
    Luv ya

I am reading that trilogy too! I am on book two and am really enjoying them. Did you know the movie is coming out next year. I looked up the movie online so i could picture the movie characters as I read. On an unrelated side note, I had a dream last night that you and I were in a car together, which is very strange considering I don't even know you!

Di, your gatefold card is so cool!

The Hunger Games is the book I recommended to you several months back! It is an intriguing book and so different from most books I have read, but I loved it! The movie for it is coming out next spring. Part of it was filmed in NC.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Cute card. As for Hunger Games I read the series a few years ago, book one is the best. The have already cast the movie.

I loved the Hunger Games! It was the best one of the trilogy, but all three books are worth reading.

Great card – thanks for continuing to inspire us.

Love your card, I just did a gate fold card last week and a belly band card. I closed my gate fold with ribbon but I like it with the belly band. The other card, I made up the design and closed it with ribbon and the belly band

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
