RAK em up!

This 'n' That

10 Aug

040 copy

Nice RAK! RAK em Dano! Ha!  I have gotten some really nice cards in the mail lately (Random Act of Kindness – RAK) and wanted to show you one of them today.  This beauty was made by my sweet friend Amy Smith, so I am guessing on what was used.  Thanks sister! Love ya!

Stamp Set: Simply Soft – this is a hostess set! Have you seen the new hostess benefits lately? OMG! I love them and you will too. Instead of levels the Hostess sets are given a value, so you can choose to spend your Hostess dollars on hostess sets or just items out of the catalog.  I get so happy just thinking about it.

Paper: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede. Crumb Cake, Watercolor Paper, (not sure on DSP, it might be Tickets & Tags Simply Scrappin')

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake

Misc: Vintage wallpaper embossing folder, Crumb Cake Taffeta (it's back! Yay!!!), pearls

How's that iced coffee Barb?? Mwah!

Rhonda came over today, and we got our orders figured out for Fall Fest, I am so excited to see everyone.  I was gonna take a picture of one of the make n takes and just show you like a tease (I'm mean like that), but I sent them all home with Rhonda so she could make hers…oh well you will have to take my word for it, they are awesome, and I will share eventually.

We sat out with the girls again tonight.

029 copy
I threw down some salad and they had it gone in no time.  I wait till the store has the bags of salad on sale and grab them.  I just have to rustle that bag and they know what's coming.

009 copy
Carey said I didn't show the girls lately so here they are. Clara and Alice trying to get that last piece of salad.

014 copy
Gertie & Stella going in and out of the coop.

025 copy
Clara leading the girls over by the wheel barrow.

013 copy
I let Fiji out too and she ran around a bit in the back yard (the big girls run around on the side yard).  I asked Jeff "should I bring her out with the girls?" and he said "yeah sure", so I carried her out there and set her down and immediately Clara reared up and went at her, Fiji peeped and ran back into the back yard.  I don't know if it was cause they were eating or what.  But I went back and got Fiji and brought her back over and I just made sure if the girls got too close or looked like they were gonna do something I just went "no, no, no!" and we didn't have any other problems.

012 copy
She is still way too little to even think about putting her with the other girls, but I want them to get used to each other.  Here she is on Daddy's shoulder, telling him to hurry up on her new coop. Rhonda was calling it a "mini coop-er"  Ha! Love ya Rhon!

026 copy
Here's Fiji hollering at the other girls "hey ain't you gonna eat this piece of lettuce?"

021 copy
She's so purty!

So Jeff got the chickenwire, the roof and the back door on Fiji's coop, so we went out to see it.

031 copy
We have to walk by the humongous pots that Jeff put by his new walk way, he is going to put plants that over flow and then make a small tree in each one, he is waiting till the danged heat of summer is over.

032 copy
On the way out to the barn there were some bunnies running around.

033 copy
Here's the back door, it slides and you can see the tin roof.

034 copy
He still has to put the front door on and that should be it.  I said "aren't you going to paint it?" and Jeff said "no, it's like how you want all that wood" and I was like "huh?" and he said "what you call that wood" and I was like "oh shabby chic?" and he said "yes, that's it".

030 copy
Toby hates the camera but he said "take it quick for Auntie Kim, I'll hold my breath so it won't suck my soul into the camera" then he ran into the house to Daddy.  So there you have all the critters today.

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

OK you get a cute award for everything on the post today. I love the card, the girls, your new baby and of course, the ever popular "don't suck my soul into the camera" Toby. Thanks for showing us all the fun. Tell Jeff he is doing a great job around the place. I love those holders and what they will have in them.

Nice pics of the girls and their Home Sweet Coop…I have a yorkie, too, Misha, and she runs when the camera comes out too! I think the flash is too bright, so she runs even when I try to take her pic outdoors! But they are so adorable…
