Ugh…

This 'n' That

22 Jul

018 copy

…I think I might be getting sick.  I have a bit of a sore throat and feel warm, although it's danged hot in Arizona so not sure on that part. If I am, I am glad it waited till I got back from convention.  I hope I am not though.  I did take some cold medicine so hopefully that will nip it in the bud. Now I am tired though, so I'll post quick and go to bed.

I was so busy today, but yet I look around and still see tons to do before Saturday.

Jeff put up the second fan tonight and I had to paint a bit around them as the bases on these are smaller then the other ones. They look so pretty, they are all white, the other ones had gold on them and I am not a gold person.

I had to run to the grocery store tonight I was making cornish hens and needed a few things, and while I was there I picked up some Chester Cheese Cheese Puffs, and they are Honey BBQ…oh my gosh, this is not good…they are crazy delicious I probably ate half the bag while I got supper ready.  How am I ever gonna lose weight?  Jiminy Christmas.

So speaking about food, here is another of my display cards, this one uses the cupcake in the Easy Events set that we got at convention.

I'm gonna guess on my colors since I don't have the card to look at anymore and I always forget to take notes when I am doing them.

Stamp Set: Easy Events

Paper: Just Add Cake DSP, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand

Misc: Mini Brads, Poppy Parade stitched ribbon

This was a fun set to work with, cause I love to color…did you know that?   I have a 7 page PDF tutorial available if you want to learn how I watercolor.  You can see the post here.

Well I better be hitting the hay, cross your fingers the cold just goes away and does not come. I have no time to be sick. Does anybody really?

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

It was hot here – has been for 10 days in a row now – I know you live in AZ so are used to those temps – but I think one of the fellas said it was 118 here yesterday – come on…we live in Canada eh?
    Luv ya

Hope you feel better! I had that the day I left for convention , ugh is right.
I really wanted to connect with YOU! That was honestly my goal for Convention, to hang around your sunshiny personality. Sorry when I saw you I ran off! I had left my make and takes at the lunch table and was freaking out!
Get well soon. Love your card!

It was such fun meeting you at Convention. I've been a follower of your blog for some time. I like your artistic style. This card has a classic and clean look but has such interesting details that all pull together into a beautiful card. I love reading about your livestock (and yes, that includes Jeff!!!). Seriously, reading your blog makes me wish that we lived next door to each other;-D Thanks for all you share!

I love what you have done with this set. It is way too cute. Sorry you have post-convention crud. I have heard a lot of people that aren't feeling too well. You think it is the lack of sleep we had at convention finally catching up with us?

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
