Obsessed or In Love

This 'n' That

21 Jul

IMG_20110720_190952

I can't tell.  When I hold Fiji, Toby licks his lips and his eyes fill up like he is going to cry.  He keeps wanting to go outside and this is what he does he stares up in her crate.  Does he want to kiss her or eat her?  I don't want to allow either.

We do however think she is a Blue Cochin, Connie called today and her daughter gave me tips on telling if she is a hen or a rooster and we are thinking hen.  She sure loves to be held though, and will fall asleep when you do.  I need to buy some Diocemetiris Earth Food Grade (I spelled that wrong) anyway it kills bugs and stuff, I don't see any on her but it won't hurt to sprinkle her and the crate too.  It also keeps other bugs away, I usually sprinkle it around the girls coop and inside too and that keeps bugs out.

For my downline going to Convention I always get them something every year , and this year I thought a cute little swap bag would be fun, I had them monogramed and they seemed to really like them.  I was a dork and packed them all and forgot to take a picture, but since MAMMa and I were carpooling I was giving hers to her early and didn't have to pack it.

I also found a faux leather little notebook and added a mini pen for them to take notes. Cute eh?

At Momento mall this year they had some amazing things for sale, lots better then other years, I did buy the skin for my laptop…no more having to read the brand name…although I never see it as it faces away from me but boy oh boy when I am out and about I'm gonna be styling.

Convention 2011 120 copy
I got the mouse pad to match, yeah I know…gotta love it.

I also wanted to show you some of the amazing displays from Convention, this was called Product Park and it highlighted DSP's and some of the Product Suites. These are not in any particular order.

Convention 2011 013 copy
It was fun to watch this display grow, as things were added every day.

Convention 2011 017 copy
Look how cute these were, showing off the new fabric

Convention 2011 018 copy
Got buttons?

Convention 2011 019 copy
Those fall days would feel good right now with our 110 degree weather.  Look at the crumpled leaves, made with the leaf die.

Convention 2011 021 copy
Here's Santa's mailbox and looks like he's going to be busy this year.

007 copy
Rhonda laughs cause this is one of my favorite new DSP's "Domestic Goddess" it has such fun vintagey colors.

009 copy
Like look how adorable these tulips are. Yes Rhonda, I'm talking to you girlfriend, look how cute these are. Makes me want to put on an apron, pearls, high heels and vaccuum…ok it doesn't…but they are cute.

010 copy
I would love to know where they got the old decorations that they made up.  This was fun.

012 copy
Look how cute the gardening tools are with the Timeless Portrait fabric on them.

018 copy
Wanna take a spin? This showcases the BigTop Birthday DSP

019 copy
Yum, I love popcorn, look at the cute little banners.

020 copy
And hand stamped tickets…I have this new alphabet, it is so cute.

022 copy
These are fun pretty colors and show off the Flirtatious Specialty DSP

024 copy
This is cool and I might have to update my blog header and add this, I love the look of it.

028 copy
The apples again. You can tell I moved all over the displays, sometimes people would be in the way so I would take pictures somewhere else and go back.  I always laugh when people have those big long lenses on their camera yet they get inches from what they are taking a picture of.

030 copy
This is one of my favorite new DSP's, Beau Chateau and it is shabby chic and has chickens and everything.

032 copy
Wouldn't this be cute out on your porch? Not ours, we have too much dust, but somewhere where this is no haboobs.

035 copy
Gotta love this, a ladder with photos on it. I have a ladder in my studio, but that is only cause Jeff installed one of the ceiling fans, it looks nice. He will do the other one tomorrow.  I have my catalog kick off and stamp club this weekend, so the poor man has to get it done.

086 copy
I love the colors in the new Timeless Portrait DSP.

091 copy
This is Jen, isn't she adorable? She did some of the display stamping for the Product Park.  She is Rich & Wendi's niece. She is giving the thumbs up to one of her masterpieces.

092 copy
So pretty eh? Love those silhouettes.

Today Rhonda came over and we got most of the make n takes figured out for Fall Fest, now we need to make them and see if it works out.  Some will be using the new items from the Holiday mini so we have to (im)patiently wait till pre-order to get them. If you live in Arizona (or want to come to Arizona) and want to attend Fall Fest, please let me know.  It is August 27, registration is open right now.  Email me and I will send you the registration form.

I think that is pretty much all the pictures I have from Convention, I know I have some girls sending me some and I can share those later when I get them…hint! hint! Rhonda, Tiffany, Kim!! ha!

I will share some more of my display stamping stuff tomorrow.

I do have another round of Designer Series Paper Shares starting so let me know if you are interested in one of those.  You can read more about it at this post.

That is it for me tonight, I need to clean up my mess…and Jeff's mess too.

Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

I loved those displays, too! I'm going to try to incorporate some of those ideas in my kindergarten classroom. The So Cal Fire marshall went on the warpath last year in our classrooms and will only allow 20% worth of paper on our classroom walls. (I'd like to remind them that the walls ARE paper) So, I was dancing around the park displays thinking… POTS, clotheslines… those don't have to touch the walls! I'm going to borrow the theme, "grow" too. 🙂 I'm going to attach student art to posts, add leaves and plant their art! THANKS STAMPIN' UP!
    Love your convention pics,btw!!!
    Thanks for sharing!

I am so sorry I think your story about Fiji and Toby is so funny. Toby just want a little friend to play with, he doesn't want to eat her. The convention photo's are great, I'm glad you had a great time. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
